Seat Belt Help

I removed my seats and not able to get any slack in the seat belt to reinstall them? How can I release more slack in the belt?

Seatbelts have a inertia lock so you need to hold the recoil part just like it was installed without shaking or moving as you pull the belt out.

There is only a 1/2" of movement to go back into the recoil and when I pull back it locks. It is like it needs to go back into the recoil a inch or more before it will release to give me more slack but there is not enough room to give more belt back into the recoil.

I've had to pop the cover off mine before to get them to recoil. Was no big deal, push out the little pins and pry the clips loose. Hold it so that the cover is pointed up, so none of the parts on the inside fall out. Hold the lock mechanism free and pull out some belt. Replace the cover less the little pin/plug things...
