Which is the vss wire on the back of the navigation system for a 2007 nbs silverado. After looking there is 1 plug that has 1 green/white wire than another plug with a cluster of wires that has a green/white wire

This information is available in the factory wiring diagram manual. Sometimes you need to gather information from both the factory service manual and the wiring diagram manual.

But one or both will say which connector number a particular wire is on and the color of that wire. Then elsewhere it will show where that connector is located or where on a "gizmo box" that connector is plugged into.

Also sometimes what helps is to look at the other wires on the connector (in the factory wiring diagram). So say the wiring diagram shows a red wire you want and on a particular connector it shows that red wire with a blue on one side of it and a green on the other side.

Or the connector starts with a wire pattern of pin 1 black, pin 2 green, then pin 3 red (the red you are looking for). This helps to confirm you have found the correct connector (along with the information as to where that connector should be located).

Just to clarify... You would need to look in a factory wiring diagram book and/or a factory service manual book for your specific year vehicle and type vehicle.

The wire colors I gave above were an example, but not for your specific vehicle.

Have you tried running without the VSS wire?

On my '03 Yukon, whne I installed the OEM NAV I didn't connect ti and everything worked perfectly. Including no lock out on any features while moving.

pretty sure you definately need the VSS wire with the 07+ nav units or else the actual navigation function will act crazy and erratic at times (when you don't have a perfectly clear, uninterrupted view of the sky where your antenna can clearly see the satellites)

Yea, that's what it was for on my '03 (like going through tunnels and such) but I honestly never had an issue where I noticed the NAV getting flakey.
