Hello, I'm Leroy, I've been lurking for some time and have been reading. However I've got a problem with my 04, 3500 chev. It's a work truck so nothing fancy. My problem is the drivers seat heater comes on intermittently. I've beat on the switch, (like most good citizens do) wiggled in the seat, jumped up and down on it, and nothing seem to effect the frequency or irratic manor in which it occures. Took it to the dealer who put the majic problem finder on it and nothing. No codes popping up. They also weren't much interested in my problem. What a surprise. NOT. This is all fine when the weather is below 0 out but it's getting summer in Kansas and I really don't want to go through the hot days with extra heat on my back.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated befor I go postal and use a coffey can full of gun power to fix it.

Welcome to the forum, that heated seat issue has gotten a few of us hot to trot. I had the same issue on mine for awhile, changed out the switch and no more prob, until about 3 weeks ago. You might try to get the switch replaced in lieu of the can of gun powder, I have had the same thoughts with mine. Good Luck.

Yea, No Joke.

Thanks for the welcome.

Big Red, you stated the new switch fixed your's until about 3 wks. ago. Is your's on the fritz again? Is this a problem when the miles/wear increases? I've got 177k on mine, use it all the time. Just wondering if this thing is going to start $$$$ing me out the wazoo? If so I'm thinking those 4500's are looking pretty good.

Sorry for the late reply, I had the switch replaced about 2 years ago, and now it just started acting up again. It seems to only mess up when it is wet outside. I've even pulled the door panel off to see if the switch was getting wet, but I see no trace of moisture. I never use it living down here in Texas. I may just look into unhooking the thing. Good luck. :D
