It tilts the mirrors down when you put it in reverse.

and there is no feature "on the dash"

the feature is turned on and off thru switches that access the I/P cluster

It can also be accessed through the DIC.

I REALLY wish the new trucks had that feature. My dad's 04 did, but seems to be gone and I have to tilt my mirrors down almost every time I am backing up.

2007 SLT has the curb assist feature Did they do away with the feature. When I drive my wifes car, I really miss the feature.

It may just be an SLT/LTZ/Denali feature. I like it, but wish there was a switch or button to easily deactivate it like many European vehicles have.

Mine has it, but I leave it off. It is turned on/off via the DIC.

I know, but you have to fumble around with the DIC *ahem*

I wish there was a quick toggle switch, because I like it when I'm backing in to a parking spot, but not so much when I'm backing out of my driveway.

Yes,But you also need to have the LTZ/SLT/Denali trim level I believe.

I wish there was a way to control how far down it tilts. I like the feature. But, it seems to angle down too far. So, I leave it off and do the adjustment myself, if I need it.

Don't know about the GMT900 trucks,But on my '04 GMT800 I was able to control how far down they tilted,I was even able to control if both,or just one,of the mirrors tilted.
