Hello All. I have a 2008 Chevy Suburban LTZ. I am new to this but I was wanting to know if there is anyone out there that knows how I can get past the driving restrictions that don't allow you to use all the navigation features or watch a dvd while the vehicle is in drive.

If you look in the menu options you can turn off a couple of the restrictions yourself.

The only way to watch the DVD player while in motion is by purchasing an after market lockpick harness.

Be very careful when dealing with internet companies supplying the harnesses like CoastalTech Lockpick. Even though the product they produce is functional, their after sales service and support is non existent. Never answer emails, never answer phones, never return messages. Read the stories from many unhappy customers on numerous GM Truck forums

They work out of a P.O. box so thats a sign right there.

Purchase from reputable company and you should be safe.

I would also check the laws in your area because many States have laws forbidding the driver from being able to view a screen in the front of the vehicle. The fines are usually more then the harness cost.

Awesome info. Thanks so much. I have herd about the harness but was hoping there was an easy fix like my buddies car. He has a Chrysler 300M and he just bought a hacked version of his maps DVD that did not have the restrictions and it worked, but it sounds like my new GM can't be done that way. Thanks for the help.
