Rear Air Vents In 2009 Crew Cab

Looking at the '09 crew cabs. My 2002 has air vents in the back of the center console for the people in the back seat. The new trucks don't have them in the console - so where are they? Do the crew cabs even have vents at all for the people in the back??

The underseat heat ducts are there, nothing else.

This is one of my only complaints about my truck. I don't care about the passengers in the back as much as my 2 labs. They need A/C!

Very interesting...and disappointing at the same time. Probably a cost cutting measure. I guess it is not a deal breaker but if my extended cab has them you would think a crew cab...with a lot more room than mine...would also have them. Oh well.

I hear ya... and agree.

 

Now compared with my last F250SD, it didn't MATTER that it had vents back there. The AC sucked so bad that it wouldn't cool if you had 9 vents back there. Didn't cool the front much either.

 

Now, my Sierra, rear vents, or not... heck you can hang beef in the cab. Today it was 87F and humid as all get-out when I came out from work. It was parked in the sun to boot.

 

Now, it took about 5-7 minutes to get it cool enough in the cab for me to want to turn the fan down. 1000% better than ANY Ford I have ever owned.

 

I'll give up rear vents for the much better AC system any day.
