Power Mods

Hey guys,

 

I want to know about the best mods for my 05 5.3l. I want to do the intake/exhaust thing with a tb spacer and a chip. But which ones? Whats gonna give me the best power for low end? I run a welding rig, and its heavy. Thanks

most likely the best bolt on for low end would be a full length header and free flowing dual exhaust setup.

I was told before that for low end power you would want to run a muffler with a single inlet and dual outlet. But I would go with the long tube headers for sure. Also if I was to run 1 into 2 then I would have to "Y" as opposed to an "x" but would an "x" make more power? What about the chip, who makes the good ones? I had a bully dog for a while but I could not access all the tune mode because of the "drive by wire". Can someone enlighten me on what that is?

Save your money on the TB spacer. Put it towards a BB tune.
