Replacement Head Unit Options

My cd player in my stock head unit stopped working. It wont play cds now. I want to stay with gm parts for the new head unit.

I have a harmon/kardon drive and play hooked up with a usa spec aux-in too. This is important because I want to keep using them and get another head unit. It plugs in through the aux-in.

I currently have the single cd changer and was wondering what other head units will replace it and still use the same harnesses to hook up. I would like at least to go up to a 6CD changer if possible or one with a lcd.

thanks for any help

Pretty much any stock deck should do from an 03-06 (or an 07 "classic" if they did that this time around like last time.)

just make sure its not a "lux" head unit, which I dont think you would have to worry bout. IIRC lux was mostly in the suvs, not so much the trucks.

iirc (and you may want to do some searching to confirm this) lux units had an amp underneath the center console.

What I would do is get a factory navi unit. They go for ~$650+ on ebay.. you still gotta get the harnesses for vehicle speed and the gps antenna, but for less than the cost of atermarket gps you could have a stocker.
