Water Dripping In Tahoe

Recommended Posts

My mom has a 98 Tahoe that drips water on the passenger side floor mat. The "black box" under there also makes noise now when she is traveling or sitting still with A/C on. The sound increases when you turn left or right.

I took off the rubber elbow from the firewall and about 1/2 a gallon poured out. Well i thought i fixed the problem and i started the truck back up and it still leaks from far right side. Not anything like it was before though.

any insight on this.

the lower drain hose is stopped up.

It should be dripping out from under the truck when the AC is on.

When the drain hose is stopped up...all the condensation stays in the "black box" up under the dash.

Clean out the drain hose all the way to the bottom of it...

yea i ran a clothes hanger up in there a little bit. It was still making the sound and dripping some inside after i done it. I came back inside and put the rubber elbow back on there about 45 minutes later and drove it to town and it isnt doing it now.
