P0300

I have a 2000 silverado Z71 4x4 with the 4800 and a 5 spd. It has around 116,000 mi.

The "service engine soon" light comes on when the rpms are high (like over 2,000). So basically at highway speeds or high revs, the light comes on.

I used a diagnostic tool, and the error code read "P0300", which is random/multiple cylinder misfire. I changed the spark plugs, but that didn't do it.

any help as to what it could be? Thanks...

Check at the following link...

Then also someone else just had a similar problem and it turned out to be a faulty camshaft position sensor. Other people have just replaced spark plug wires and that did the trick. So just got to check all sorts of things!
