Car Search!

Hey everyone,

I ve started my search for my dream car.. 67-68 Camaro... I figured someone at GM-T would know where to find one :)

Just a few things that i m looking for:

- preferably an SS but will take a Z28 or RS

- the 396! Probably the favorite engine out of the ones available

- i do prefer the 4 speed manual over the auto.. i like a performance car to have it!

- colour... now i like all the colours it came in but my two favorite ones have to be red with black stripes or black with white stripes..

- must be totally restored.. it gets kinda expensive to do it myself..

I found one in my area but he had done too much to it and wanted a crap load of money for it..

I know i m looking at spending some decent cash so any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I don't know how much they deal in older cars but you may want to look at autotrdaer.com.

They are at least nation wide in the US and it would be a good starting point.

A guy at work sold a completely restored '68 Z28/ 4-speed but it wasn't the correct motor (mild 400).  The body and interior were "perfect".  The car was yellow with black stripes and black vinyl roof...  not the standard Vinyl but the one that stops above the drip edges  ( I guess it was rare) .  Anyhow my friend bought it with about 1000 miles on the restoration for less than ?K.  It was done with all NOS parts, all the way down to the "body by fisher" door plates on the thresh-holds"
