Bug Shield

I have a 2003 Silverado 2500hd and when I bought it it had a Lund bug shield on and my god does it make a lot of noise. It sound like everything from the windshield forward is going to explode from rattling. I took it off and all gone no more noise yeah but I liked the form and functionality of it. A buddy of mine said if it was a shield made in 2003 they did not have the front end all figured out on areodynamics. Is there a shield that does not make this noise I know I am going to get the clear tape guys answer but I have never seen one that you can't see the tape line.

I put a clear plastic bug sheild on mine two years ago and really like it....don't remember the brand but I think I bought it from JC Whitney....they were the only ones that had a clear one....was about $65 if I remember right....

I've put the GM ones on all my trucks... 00 Silverado, '01 Burb, '05 Burb, and planning on getting them for my current Suburban and 2500. Never had any problems with the GM ones. I think GMPartsDirect has pretty good prices too, but I haven't compared too much.

I have the Gm bugshield , and I consider it as completely ineffectual ! i think to change for other , but do not know wich

I've got a WeatherTech bug shield and I've had no rattling or noise from it and am very pleased with it.
