Loud Noise At Around 62- 68 Mph!

alright so i have the 2500hd with the 8.1 and the ally transmission and i have had this noise for a while but since im gonna be driving this truck from indiana to florida i need this fixed! i know it prolly needs a tranny shop or somethin but i want it narrowed down by you guys well hopefully but here it goes... the truck doesnt slip or anything when it happens but starting around 50mph you can hear a light vibration then at about 62 this noise instantly screams out sounding like a bearing or somethin or loud metal to metal vibration and then at 68 mph and on the noise is gone? its very aggravating i dunno if its in the transfer case or transmission. . . and for more information i did bust the extension housing but had it replaced it was making the noise before that happened and also had to get my rear end yoke replaced but once my truck got back from the shop that noise wasnt there and now it has came back? any ideas???

ive looked at the heat sheilds and its nothin the driveshaft carrier bearing sounds like a possibility. i have even jacked the back of the truck up and took it to that same speed with the rear tires off the ground and you barely can hear the sound its real faint it only gets loud when there is friction

Drive shaft.

They gave my father a two peice drive shaft, and it helped a little.

Good luck! (if it's the same problem my father had with his HD)

They gave him a few different shafts, in the end the two piece was the most quiet. My father is pickey and baught a new HD the next year.

this isnt a normal noise it wasnt there before and it started after a bad event i had with my tires and the pavement and also before the extension housing busted. . this is somethin that most definitely shouldnt be there

thats not fixing the truck thats continuing the problem thats been there for a long time now...the tranny shop today said that its most likely the driveshaft carrier bearing so they are gonna change it and see what happens.....wait wait.. arent they only on a 2 piece driveshaft? i have a one piece...well the yoke that goes into the tranny and then the whole driveshaft...
