1st off welcome to the site.

See if you can obatain the service records for either vehicle. I have regularly seen trucks with over 200K. I would also have either gone over carefully to check for any potential problems. If they were well maintained I would not hesitate to purchase either truck, especially if they are super clean.

Like any used vehicle, the history is as important as the physical condition. Are any ownership history or maintenance records available for either truck? Any clue as to how either truck was used (tow, plow, urban commute)?

Personally have been adverse to buying any used 4X4 without knowing these details as there is just too much expensive hardware that can be damaged by ignorance, abuse, or neglect. The basic truck should not be a concern at these mileages as long at it wasn't driven like a rented mule.

there is no signs of the truck being plowed or any sort of abuse at all. its really a mint truck, im a toyota guy and i know 125k on a toyota is nothing but im a newb on the GM's.

Not a bad looking truck. Like I said see if you can get the service records and a car fax. Crawl under and look at the chassis. look for signs of leaks and worn suspension parts.

And answer your other question, Yes I've been doing it since 1993.

My cousin is looking to get his first truck as well and was looking at this exact same one on Autotrader.com. This truck is in NH right?

Do you have a link to that truck? And like others have said, it all depends on how it was maintained. 125K miles is nothing.

i just called and that truck is sold. back to looking

That sucks. Good luck on your search!

A Chevy truck that has recieved normal routine maintenance is generally in fine form at 125K. Any brand vehicle can be expensive at those miles if the maintenance has been ignored. As you are renewing your search pay attention to things like steering components, brakes, suspenion as well as drive train. You can have a great engine and tranny and need a grand worth of brake work if the previous owner ignore routine checks. GMs have very durable drive trains and 200K+ is not unusual. We have a large fleet of GM trucks and Tahoes in the middle east that live their life in extreme heat and sand, driven by dozens of different drivers and some are well over 350K and still run like a champ. I personally associate the GM logo with longevity. Aditionally a GM truck seems to retain its power and comfort well into its golden years. I have owned 3 Toyota trucks (1 new and 2 old beaters)and they do log some miles, but my ass hurt in the seat from day one and they do not have the load moving capability of a GM.

I know its sold, but looks like there could be a problem with the wipers on that truck. Shouldnt both move together? If so, looks like the passenger side wiper is way off...
