Ignition Switch

I have a 2001 blazer. Recently I noticed that I need to jiggle the key/ignition switch to start the vehicle. I was told it would cost around 200.00 to fix from the dealer. I was also told by someone else that this can be fixed without replacing the switch itself. Any help is appreciated. I am not a mechanic, so hopefully this is something that can be fixed cheaply. Thanks.
