Fog Lamp Kit From Gmpartsdirect

I shot an email to gmpartsdirect regarding the fog lamp kit for my truck. I have a Blue Granite truck and sent them part number 19170442 that I found on a few posts here.

 

They replied and stated that the end caps are unpainted. I was under the assumption that the kits had painted caps??

 

These are the part numbers for different colors that I found in another post:

Graystone 19170439

Dark Blue 19170440

Black 19170441

Blue Granite 19170442

summit White 19170443

Silver Birch 19170444

Victory Red 19170445

 

Can anbody confirm that the kits from gmpartsdirect contain painted end caps?

Those kits come with painted end caps,I don't know why they told you they are unpainted.

They said they are non painted because they have no idea what they are selling. My dealer just told me that I need a new rear diff cover if I put in 3:73 gears.lol

I sent them an email asking them to verify if the caps are painted.....and they stated that The description in the current GM catalog states that the kit, part number 19170442 contains PTM (paint to match) end caps.

Well I'm here to tell you that I've sold a couple of these kits and the end caps were already painted,Unless they changed something over the past month (Which is possible with GM!)

No your interpreting it right..."paint to match" means the item,or items,must be painted.

I can call our GM-ADI tomorrow and verify that the end caps still come painted,Like I said,maybe GM changed something in the last month.

I would appreciate it if you could do that....I really don't want to go through the hassle of finding someone to paint two endcaps.

$243 at gm partsdirect.....they were $222 a few days ago, but I failed to act on it, and they are back up to $243 now. I am working some OT now...so I figure I might as well pick up a kit.

 

Now....I just wanna make sure I can painted caps.....and Blue Granite ones would be nice.

I have not stopped at a dealer to ask if they will match it. I bought my vehicle out of state and I haven't had a chance to get to a dealer in my state yet. I am working out of town, and if I buy a set from the dealer, I will have to pay almost 9% sales tax. So I'd like to either get a set online, or wait until I get back to NH....where there is no sales tax!
