dbassam Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 A warning to anyone who orders from CarID.com (formerly Woodview) and hopes to return something for a refund. I spent $2500 on accessories for a new Suburban with them. Among other things, I got some taillights that were on the truck long enough for me to decide the look wasnt right and i took them off. Ordered a different light which i liked muck better. Mailed them the first lights and they claimed that the lights we not in reselable condition and therefore they would not refund the money. Those lights were fine. Amazing that a company would piss off a good customer forever over a measly $100. Anyone with a good experience elsewhere to report so i can take my business there? DB
Zembonez Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Never heard of the company and their website looks like some kind of drop ship company. Pretty hard to get anything out of those businesses unless they are SELLING to you.
txab Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 From their website... Any product that was used or fully/partially installed is non-returnable. Well you installed it. Always read the fine print.
ScottyBoy Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 I purchased from them before (well from woodview) and luckily my experience wasnt that bad. It did take forever for shipping and once I got it it (a billet grille) I saw on the shipping label that it was shipped DIRECTLY from T-REX. Theyu are obviously just running a trans-shipping operation and not keepeing any inventory. Shortly after I purchased my grill from them, I've heard numerous horror stories about their horrible customer service and refusing to give refunds, even when they sent the customer the wrong product! I beleive it because they would have to eat the cost of the refund because they are just transshipping. dam sheisters!

DB Some nerve. They became USED once you installed them. I don't blame them one bit for not refunding the money.
