Front Tow Hooks

HI , I was wondering if there is anyone out there that could give me some advice on installing the front tow hooks on my 08 silverado after i install a 3" body lift.

Ummmm....wouldn't they just go back on to the frame where they came off from? Not sure what the question is....

Yes, but you will have fun mounting them through the valance or bumper that now covers them.

 

To the OP, I haven't installed one on the GMT 900's, only my 2000, but if you wait long enough Matt will fill you in. The instructions didn't touch on the replacement procedure? I feel like I have heard of people flipping them upside down to work, with some trimming involved. Could be way off though.

 

EDIT: Just checked Zone Offroad's site and they have you flip them in the instructions.

yeah you just flip them left to right and they match up with the notches in the bumper.

 

they'll sit about 1/2" lower relative to where they sit now, so you just take a razor blade to the plastic to give them some clearance.

 

download and read the instructions... its fairly straight forward
