what do you guys thing the best supercharger out now would be, ive been looking at the magnacharger, procharger, and the vortec brands, and the vortec is alot cheaper then the rest, was wondering if it would still have the same HP output as one of the more expensive brands?

Depends on what you are looking to do. Each style Supercharger has its benefits.

do a magna charger... put one on my buddies silverado.. works great. i wouldnt suggest a procharger unless youve got some internals changed because they put out more boost...and that usually doesnt go well after some time on the motor =)

well thats the thing, i want this truck to be a true street fighter man, so top end isnt as important has getting up to speed as fast as possible, so the roots style would probly be the best.

I put a Magnacharger TVS1900 in my truck last month and love it. Total complete kit with room to grow.

+1000, If your getting a supercharger go with a TVS kit from Magnacharger. You will have low end and top end, the TVS's are not a classic roots blower. They are 4 lobed & front inlet, and are much more efficient than the old Radix's...they will supply more air in bigger engines spinning slower.

Keep in mind the right size turbo will give you whatever you want, more efficiently, without parasitic losses...however 9 times out of 10 it will cost you more when it's all said and done.

Had a Magnacharger on my 98 tahoe. lots of torque. Ran 50,000 km’s on it not a hiccup. Couple hours on, couple hours off. Still sitting in my garage if anyone wants a magnacharger for a 5.7L. Had a hypertech programmer to take of the governor. Didn’t need to go that fast, just to pass safely. Nice little whine, not overpowering like my wife’s.

yea i would like to get one of the TVS's but they retail at around $5-6000, little more then im looking to spend, the prochargers are only around 2000, so i might just go with that.

well this is something else ive been looking at, if money was no object, what about a twincharger aka and turbo'd supercharger, from what ive gathered most people seem to think the turbo will compress and shoot the air to the supercharger to fast for it to suck it in tho, but even if that is the case couldnt i add a larger pully to the supercharger to make it pull in more air? get back with me on this is anyone knows.

No. I mean it's been done, but your just compressing the air twice.
