I have an 03 Sierra 1500. Over the summer the "Service Brake System" warning came on. I had replaced the rear pads at around 50,000. The front pads had lots of life in them at the time. Now that the truck has 90,000 mi. on it I assumed that the warning was on because now all pads were worn so the fluid level was low in the resivor. Last night I replace all 4 rotors and pads; however, the warning is still on. Here is a small hitch. About 2 years ago I broke a front ABS wheel sensor so, the ABS light has been on for that amount of time but, not the "Service Brake System" warning. The brakes have been working fine all along. I have noticed no change in stopping other than that now it stops smoothly with no modulation due to warped rotors. Why would the warning still be on?

Most likey not a pad/rotor issue(they are actualy not monitored).

Probaly an ABS problem(some codes cut both lights on), parking brake partialy on(or sensor bad), or the fluid level is low(or sensor bad).
