Question

Hello all;
In 1995, my 1994 5.7 was having cold start knock issues. I discussed it with local dealer, and got the usual speech about the issue of using genuine AC/Delco filters, etc, which oil was I using, etc.. What they did not realize is that I always use OE oil filters on every engine and never go over 3500 miles before changing. They kept it overnight so they could change oil and have it for the first cold start, to listen for the knock. They heard the knock, and continued researching about it. The next week they asked if it was still doing it. I told them yes it was, and they wanted it again for a repeat test with pressure guages this time. When I get it back this time, they seem to think that it will be alright. No action necessary.
After getting it back, I notice that it has a "Fram"oil filter on it!!!!!!. I came unglued when I saw this when they had expressed the necessity of using the proper AC/Delco oil filter on these engines. Why did they use an aftermarket filter was my next question to the service manager. He stated that a service bulletin recommended that particular Fram filter in this circumstance and problem. I did not believe it but he said it was so. I later was able to confirm it from a bulletin that I found online. I cannot find the bulletin anymore.
Can someone find that bulletin, and the following TSBs for me: 376105A, 420502 and 476118. These findings will clarify a discussion I am having with a friend about this issue.
Thanks
