mr_bots Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 He must have done a really shitty job welding it. If it would have been done with a substantial enough weld there is no way he would have blown out the clutch or torn up the drive line. What a dumbass.
alaska511 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 LOL When I belonged to the Jeep club, I welded the spiders in my Dana 44, it worked great! I trailered it everywhere anyway. I eventually got beefy axles, and lower gears, but I still went back with a spool because it was cheap I never did break my "Lincoln Locker"
Wingnut Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 LMAO...That's almost as good as the guy that painted his disc brakes...The actual discs.
Zembonez Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Welding the ring and pinion must be stronger than welding the spider gears! LOL! That's hilarious.
Porter_ Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 i'm still working my way through the thread, but this is one of my favorite replies: Since its a Toyota , You shouldve welded it with metric 7018. Ya gotta watch those welding supply places, they will sell you the wrong stuff....... edit: it's a hoax. still moderately humorous.
