Lifting The 00 Seirra

Hey there This is my first post so Ill introduce my self. Scott and I drive a 00 Seirra with a leveling kit and 33 maxxis Bighorns.

 

But thats all gonna change because Im going to lift it. So ive got a few questions and this forum looked like it could help.

 

Rough Country has some cheap lifts so Im getting the 6inch from them.

my problem. Everwhere I look it talks about backspacing and lifts. I just put tires on my stock wheels and I was wondering if i run wheel spacers like these

if i could continue to run my stock wheels untill i have the money to get some new wheels and tires?

 

also what happens with my driveshaft and steering shaft ? do i need extensions or will they reach ?

 

edit - another thing ive got the 2 inch leveling kit in the front, can i keep that then just add another 2 or 3 inch lift block with the 5 inch one that comes with the kit ?

I'll answer what I can for ya. With a 6" lift, the driveshaft is going to have to be lengthened (or at least mine did). The steering shaft looks stock, but it looks like it's at a steeper angle. As far as the leaving the leveling kit in, I'd take all your your suspension mods out completely and then install the lift on a now stock truck. I'm not a wheel guru, but I'll do some research and try to give you a second opinion.

I agree, start fresh. Stock wheels should be fine.

yea im gonna start fresh. i can always get bigger blocks and put the keys back in. No stocks for me. Im getting 4 american racing bullet hole wheels with 33s for 300 hooked up
