Posting Pictures

Sorry guys, I guess I'm a little ignorant. How do you add a picture to your signature? How do you post pictures in the forum?

Is it necessary to have a web page with your pictures on it or can I paste my pictures directly in? If I must use a web page where do you suggest I go?

You have to have the pics hosted somewhere to link to. I created my own website at www.freewebs.com. It is free and pretty easy to use. Just takes a little time to set up the site.

Once you have the pics hosted, when you go to post a new topic or reply, just click on the IMG button and copy and paste the url of the picture in the pop up box.

BTW - you might want to resize the pics before putting them on your site so they are not too big when you include them in a thread here. I resized mine to 640 x 480 and they are easily viewed on this forum.

If you don't want to do this, I know www.mychevytruck.com, www.cardomain.com and www.picturetrail.com are a few of the other sites that will host pics for ya.

Grey Ghost said everything I would have. The only thing he left out is that Mychevytrucks.com allows you to have a rather large gallery. But you cannot link pics from there on this website. Not sure why but it isn't allowed. I use car domain to link to here. Seems to work the best. And to get a pic in the Sig just use the same technique used to post a pic in a thread but under your Sig proporties. Oh and Car Domain will automaticly re size your pics for there website.

Appreciate the help guys. I went to CarDomain and set up a web page and got a picture posted on there. I then added the web page of the picture by using the IMG button and I get the following error when I preview.

The error returned was:

Sorry, dynamic pages in the tags are not allowed

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong. Thanks.

i keep getting the exact same message. other pics on my page work but a certain one keeps giving me that mesage.
