i do all my own work on my other vehicles, and all the basic stuff on the truck, but i fear this could be a bigger repair than i want to try and tackle on my daily driver.

i'm afraid i've got a rear diff problem or maybe a bad axle as i can hear a metal on metal type tick/clack from the LR corner at low speed.

so can anyone recommend a god repair shop that could handle this sort of repair? i might take it to superior chev if i can't find anyone since i know the service/parts managers, but i'm sure they'll still be expensive.

i'm located in overland park.

I know it might be a bit far away for you, but I am up in Liberty and have been going to Gene's Tire and Service here for years. They are an independent shop and I feel are a good shop.

i'll keep it in mind, but yeah, that's pretty dang far.

most likely i'd have to go have it checked out one day to see what is wrong, then reschedule to have it fixed over the weekend. i my other vehicle isn't running right now either. :)

I've used Bob Gray's on Bannister and troost I believe just behind the sonic. Also you might want to try Lenexa automotive, I haven't used them but they seem to be respectable.
