Heated And Cooled Cup Holders

Just wondering if anyone has installed the HEATED and COOLED cupholders from a Cadillac Escalade in your truck.

If you have.... how hard was it and what kind of wiring did you have to do?

OK..... looks like nobody has done this mod yet. The heated and cooled cupholders.

I will see what I can find out about it and report back.

Seems to me, it would be pretty neat to keep your coffee WARMER longer or your beverage of choice COOLER longer.

Plus there wold be more buttons to push. :D:crackup::crackup:

Thanks, Jim. I'd be interested. These are the kinds of little creature comforts I love in a vehicle. Yeah, yeah - ITS A TRUCK!!! But still, its MY truck and I like a tricked interior.

Since you have a 2008 Suburban and the Escalade is built on the same chassis.... :D that might be an easy conversion for you.

In the next few days, I will try to stop by the Caddy dealer and look at one with the heated / cooled cupholders. Maybe you can do the same and compare the center consoles.

Definitely interested also.

I looked at a caddy last night at the dealer, and the model on the floor did not have that option (it was too cold in WI to look at the cars on the lot).

I'll keep my eyes open and ask around.

Cupholders that are only heated and cooled? Heck, I what ones with built-in ice dispenser, and an 8 speed blender!

Pete,

Not a bad idea. With ice cubes and a blender, you could make Margaritas on the go. :D

Hmmm ... could build a nice little blender holder out of wood that matches the wood trim in the truck. Mount it on the driveshaft hump between the front and back seats. Use a little inverter and wire it into the lighter socket.

That takes care of the blender.... but .... darn it, still no ice maker. :D:D

Gonna have to give this more thought.

MAN! And all I was thinking about was keeping the coffee hot and the Slurpees brain-freeze-cold! You've got an even BETTER idea!! :D

Found out a little more info.

The heated and cooled cup holders were only available on the 2004 to 2006 models. The 2007 and 2008 models don't have them. They are supposed to be back on the 2009 models.

When it warms up some... may go check some scrap yards and try to find some.

This one dose not work well inside the vehicle as it is gas powered but you sure can mix up some drinks with this bad boy!!
