Would Fogs Be Plug And Play?

Recommended Posts

Seems like everything is plug and play now adays. I have a 08 Sierra WT and want to add fog lights to it since the black holes in the front is kinda ugly. The fog light switch is already in the cab. Does anyone think or know for a fact that all the wiring would already be in place?

If so, where would the wires be located? I tried looking near the headlights but, there is a bunch of brackets and junk over where the headlight wiring is and I can't really get a look. I am not real auto savy and don't want to start tearing things up under the hood especially for a lost cause.

Anyone... Bueller?

im running into the same problem. i've checked many forums and cant find where the plugs are in the engine bay. i've pulled off the fuse box and found where the fuse connects, so on and so forth. but im at a stand still.

all the wires that come from the headlight harness seem to connect to everything.

but i have the relay the fuse and under the there is a green and white wire that goes some where.( it looked like the highbeam).

i have the fog light switch(ordered and installed) and when i push it in, the dash indicates the fogs are on (although there arent lights hooded up yet)

sooooooo when i find out, i'll post it here for ya.

I'm sure they are, that's why it's a kit, GM is not gonna make a fog light kit to have you cutting and tapping wires.

i installed gm fogs when i had my 01 silverado, all the wires and everything were there but the thing i had to do was go to the dealer and had them turn "something" on with a techII, all worked after that. Now with my Z06, i installed the factory fogs and that was it, no programing or anything...

Have you checked around the fog light openings?

+1, I can't say for sure they are there, but my guess is if they are, they would be down around the fog light openings.

not really, if you buy the end caps, fog lights, switch, harness you would pay over $500 and you still have to paint the end caps.
