I got my Bilsteins installed today, on top setting. I still have 1.5" of rake, and that's with stock blocks in the rear. It's perfect. Ride quality is better than stock Ranchos, and I'm on stock 20's. (I had the 17's before, but they just didn't look as well as I liked. Only difference I noticed between the 17's and 20's was that the 17's tire pressure fluctuated ALOT more than the 20's.) I'm iffy about adding blocks in the rear though, as it would change your driveshaft angle, which just doesn't sound appealing. Anyway, here's the fender well notes I took of before and after. Stock Rancho Shocks: * Front Left -- 35.75" * Front Right -- 35.75" * Rear Left -- 39.25" * Rear Right -- 38.75" Bilstein Shocks: * Front Left -- 37.75 * Front Right -- 37.75 * Rear Left -- 39.25 * Rear Right -- 39.1252 points

Thanks! I took her on her first road trip from Dallas to Fort Worth today and I'm really happy with the overall ride. She's smooth!1 point

Welcome and good choice on the truck, it looks great. Also, I wouldn't be worried about the 6" lift kit either. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk1 point

I'm no photographer, but I tried to get some good pics. As you can see, a slight rake. I also included a picture of the front end angle, seeing that most people are curious about that as well. For being the top setting, it barely changed the angle at all. The steering feels even more comfortable than before. Next I'll try to put some weight in the bed to see how far down it goes. I seldom tow or carry large loads, but it would be nice to know!1 point

I had different tires. The difference between one tire to the other was about 9 lbs per corner. The old tires were 63 lbs and these are right around 54. It's a pretty big difference. And they are slightly taller, but I had the 285's before, so the gearing is similar to what it was then.1 point

That Pearce grip extension definitely made my XD more comfortable to handle, they make them for all kinds of pistols. They are around $10, maybe something you may wanna check into1 point

The app is called Vibsensor, is on my iPhone and can be downloaded from the App Store ($5 for full version). It records all sorts of data for one minute at a time. The data I posted was taken at 70 mph on the same stretch of road before and after tires.1 point

Installed Bilsteins on all four, top setting. Got an alignment, and also adjusted my headlights. Took notes of before and after for fender wall heights. Stock Rancho Shocks: * Front Left -- 35.75" * Front Right -- 35.75" * Rear Left -- 39.25" * Rear Right -- 38.75" Bilstein Shocks: * Front Left -- 37.75" * Front Right -- 37.75" * Rear Left -- 39.25" * Rear Right -- 39.125" 1.5" of rake, but that's exactly what I wanted. Waaaaay smoother than the stock Ranchos. Night and day difference, great investment.1 point

Did they use a certified masseur or masseuse for this very important step? And they needed to call a Hunter rep to calibrate their balancer?1 point

I just traded in my 2014 Sierra for a 2016. I was going to get a '15 with the 20% discount but was offered the same deal on a new '16. Night and day difference between the models. The LED lighting is amazing and Apple Carplay is a huge plus. The dealership also added in a 2" RC lift and Nitto Terra Grappler G2 tires.1 point

Put on some Suntek window tint today!! My goal was to only darken the front slightly over the factory 70%. Decided a layer of 50% was the look I wanted. According to the calculations this should put the vlt at 35%. First impressions... I like it a lot. Hopefully my decision doesn't change. Before After Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

If the drop-in plastic bedliner fits OVER the rails, it will interfere with most covers and so the drop-in will need to be cut. If the drop-in bedliner fits UNDER the rails, you're probably OK in most cases. In some cases, you may have to trim the drop-in so that the cover's clamps will fit properly. In both cases (under and over the rail bedliner), the bulkhead piece (area behind the rear window) should be cut off. It's not mandatory, but most covers will fit much better with the bulkhead piece trimmed off. If you don't cut it off and you have factory plastic rail caps, there will be a gap between the factory rail cap and the drop-in bulhead piece and that's where water will leak into the bed. Of course, you could remove the plastic bedliner and throw it away instead of cutting it.1 point

Now, They're not nearly as good as WendysOrBust's shots (which are unreal btw - gorgeous trip) - but here's some randoms from this summer so far: Sorry fella's - had to get the Vette in there. Really itching for one lately... Plan on de-badging, and getting paint to match mirror caps and handles by end of summer. Might even Powder coat the SEYs gloss black as well... That's a really tough call. Cheers.1 point
