  1. No problem. If it helps the transmission never overheated. Ever. Highest temp I ever saw was 200f in the middle of summer. So I think we can rule out over heating. Even when it failed (drove home in third so tc wouldn’t lock up) it still wasn’t hot. So mechanical failure would be most likely. The reman front pump I believe was built with a different valve. My guy said he hasn’t had a return issue in dozens of rebuilds. Mom and pop shop. His dad was rebuilding powerglides and other 50s and 60s transmissions. For me he rebuilt an old Chrysler intrepid fwd, 2004R, powerglide, 6L80e, 4L60E and a 700R4 and I haven’t had to go back for any. Really good shops around here are few so I’m glad I found one close by. But yes 90K regular service since I didn’t do much severe duty stuff like towing or off roading. 2. Regular per gm maintenance schedule. Stock factory layout? Not sure what this means but it is as purchased. Nope 140k miles 225k km I can try to find out. But it could be as simple as any other common problem “GM saved 4 cents purchasing this inferior valve and most fail outside of warranty so why make it better?” Cheers Adam Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. No problem! He also said he’s starting to see 8L90s with the same issue just not as many. Though the 6L80 is fairly old by comparison to the 8 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Mostly highway Regular service intervals Very Little towing (racecar 5 or 6 times a year) My guy has done a pile of 6L80es (had 4 there while doing mine) and the valve in the front pump is the culprit 95% of the time. My torque converter was in my pan lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Mine went at 140k my trans guy said the valve that activated the tc are bad on them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Is this the fix for 2016's? Mine is doing it pretty bad. Well bad enough it is bothering the crap out of me. Is your seat still good?
  7. Not sure what you mean? Centered left to right? Or front tilted upward? Front tilted upward is to keep driveshaft to pinion angle close to 0 degrees. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Wait. You soldered a diode on to a $600 board just to have fogs when your high beams are on? I have never heard of this mod and judging by your experience i do not intend to perform. Light output is just fine for my wallet. lol. Thanks for posting this warning to those of us who had not heard of this. A really nice LED bar behind the grill for that money!
  9. Back at the dealer. they are going to try another seal, as well as contact GM engineering
  10. I suppose since the welds are close to the center so it won't affect rotating mass Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Please report back on how it goes! When you tig weld the drums do they need to be balanced?
  12. I'd rather quick than fast any day of the week. I'd prefer it if my truck maxed out at 100mph but, when you are wot, it takes all you got to pull your back off the seat
  13. Avg 20mpg, highest 30 mile mpg was 27. I get better mpg when not in cruise. 5.3l 3.42 rear end, afm delete, 87 octane
  14. 19000 miles and no issue with idle. 87 octane since new
