  1. Only because you don’t like what you see? You want me to repost yours? That was directly related to gas prices. Cry me a river.

  2. Interesting is I stopped off at a NAPA store in WV small town and they said they are having a hard time getting 0w-20. I also have a contact at a Chevrolet dealership that said the ULV fluid for the 10sp is hard to get as well. Not GM related but I also stopped off at our local Kia dealership and they said they were out of their ATF and it was on order inspected to get it in in a week. They said they were limited to what they could order. In the mean time AMSOIL see's what is going on and sent out a letter stating there are issues with getting supplies and pricing will have another slight increase but to be sure AMSOIL isn't seeing any issues as of now providing for their customers. They can supply as normal. Can't find what you need locally from your normal source? Contact me I can get you the best price on anything AMSOIL.

  3. Actually the energy secretary said that's not true. Sometimes people with dementia have hallucinations and memories of things that didn't happen. But don't worry man we're just "a few days away" from ending the war, for the 39th time (and that's fact).

  4. $3.84 in town for 87 octane. Diesel swings wildly, it's $4.39 in town but saw prices of $5.00 still other places.

  5. Maybe you could refrain from posting political garbage and lies in the gas prices thread...

  9. I have owned many GM 4wd vehicles dating back to the 1980's and driven all the big 3 brands at work (GPS Survey team). Granted I live in upper Michigan where its winter (300+ inches of snowfall this past winter) from Nov-April (+-) but other than having it in AUTO 4wd then, I never excise it when I don't need it. Never an 4wd issue ever. Btw, according to a fiend who is GM tech, 99% of 4wd issues he encounters are attributed to oversize tires. Now if you are one who has a 4wd just for a status symbol (many do) and really never use it then it might be a good idea to do that occasionally just to make sure you know how to use it. LOL.

  10. Hopefully your system has leak dye in it still? A black light will help find the dye at the leaks. Yea condenser leak is probably the most common issue on the 2014-2018 generation 1500s. Next common would be the one hose off the compressor or the compressor itself. 2014s used to crack that hose near where it attached to the compressor if I'm not mistaken. EDIT: Here's the PI for that line cracking - temp.xml It can spray dye all over the hose and compressor if it happens.

  11. What are you using to log the truck? Have you look into getting HP Tuners MPVI4? These ECU's have a ignition timing map and modifier specifically for ethanol content. The ECM (E92) uses cylinder airmass (load) x RPM to add ignition timing based on ethanol content percentage which is multiplier map 0.00-4.00 to control where it adds timing and how much it adds based on those variables. I have been doing a ton of R&D for my calibration company on the LT DI engines and these ECMs specifically. Getting fuel trims dialed in closer for the VVE and MAF calibration tables helps quite a bit in the response and drivability. There is quite a bit left on the table for sure. The pictures are screenshots of an example of 2 of the ignition timing maps. It is much more complex than these two maps but this post would be a couple miles long explaining the whole ignition timing logic and other systems that play a role into this. The first map think of it as the base timing map. The second picture E85 Adder map gets added to the base, but scaled by a multiplier based on Ethanol % before being added.

  12. Is this a bottom end issue, if so oil weight is not the reason or cause, i have been running 0-20 weight in my 6.2 since November of 2014 and I'm just about at 100,000 miles. Gm just released a statement yesterday stating they are bringing certain machining back in house for their next gen v-8's. I have been screaming from the rooftops on this issue since easily 2021! These lower end issues all stems from using slave wage labor in Mexico. If you were building a 60-80,000 dollar truck, would you have a guy who makes around 3-5 bucks an hour create the crank shaft for it and finish the surfaces on it? I bet 100 out of 100 people would say hell f'ing no and rightfully so! Gm tried to save penny's and in the end it is costing them millions, not to mention customers who will never look at a single GM product again after this experience!
