  1. I still don't understand. How does your filler cap fit on?
  2. Can you explain this item? Does it delete the current cap - whats the advantage. From the pics it looks like a hydrolock waiting to happen.
  3. And the fact they are adjustable is a big advantage. Inflate when needed and dial in the smoothest ride for the weight.
  4. Yep, I've just accepted it too. Put an intake and exhaust on and it's not as noticeable due to other noises lol
  5. lol, coming off a little strong there. Not everyone's aware you have to chop up the truck to make some kits fit... I wasn't, until I did some research. I can guarantee you 80%+ of the people lurking these forums aren't aware of that either.
  6. I agree, buy quality inside of junk and love your ride - I have a hard time chopping up a new truck that's all. Your making a couple of assumptions, no I don't design kits, but I do have a mechanical engineering background. Anyways, my option would be to select the 4 or 6 or 8" kit vs the 4 or 4.5 that does cutting of transfer cases, cross members, etc. That's my main point.I was merely stating the facts for people to make a conscious decision when they go to purchase. Chopping your truck is not ALWAYS necessary - you can look for other options in other quality kits or lift sizes within the same brand. There are some great trucks on here, I'm not taking away anything from either of them no matter what route they took. keep em coming
  7. On a used truck? I dunnnnnnnoooo Either way you pay 4-5k for tires/lift. You rarely will see that return
  8. I know your half joking half serious. But the only reason for me returning to stock would be part availability on kits that get discontinued or re-sale of the truck. You'll get more value on a stock truck than something with a kit on it all day. A lot of buyers will not touch a truck that's been modified and for good reason. All those things aside, I don't think a "quality" kit should modify the truck to the point where you don't have the stock option anymore. I guess it's something you have to deal with but there's very few kits out there that will outlast stock GM parts. Maybe full custom
  9. While I agree zone and BDS are of higher quality, they both chop up the truck...you're rendered unable to return to stock without buying OEM parts and one actually cuts transfer case brackets... not worth it IMO
  10. What lift? Perfect combo IMO, beauty truck
  11. what hitch is that? smittybilt ?
  12. The rear blocks swap the stock 1.25" block under the leaf with a 2.25" block. Essentially lifting the rear end 1". People refer to having added or not added the rear block because it's a common part in most level kits.
  13. ahaha proper thing! What exhaust setup are you running
  14. Man that looks good! the stance is perfect, just a tad taller in the rear by the looks. Very practical even with that height Is that cap bedliner-ed?
  15. Truck looks great. Totally a preference thing but to me, your truck screams "Put some steps on me".
  16. That's a little more reassuring. I did the Krown rust protection on my 2016, and opted into the dealership corrosion kit - because it was the only way they would cover the paint. I'll keep everyone posted as I live in the worst climate ever where we use excessive amounts of sand and sand on the roads here.
  17. Looks like they are just spraying over the rust? I'm a little skeptical that the shops are cleaning the metal, prepping it, and then spraying. I hope I'm wrong..
  18. Did you install yourself? What's a rough estimate for install time?
  19. Thanks for the info. Just confirms the route I already wanted to go.
  20. 99% of the time it's to due with poor prep. Thin coats definitely do not help but poor prep will cause you massive pains when you try to remove the dip. It's easy to spray it on, you have to spend time to prep. It's not quite bodywork but any bodyman will tell you all the work is in the prep and it determines your end product quality.
  21. I'll have to check mine when I get home, I'd be interested!
  22. Truck looks great, how does it ride compared to the stock ranchos? To clarify, you have the 0.5" spacer on top of the strut and the 5100s @ 1.85"? what does the front and rear measure? I have the same size tires and bilsteins sitting in the garage. Looking at your pics I think I'd like to add the 1" in the rear for towing purposes. Any advice is appreciated.
  23. meh i''l give it a shot. I got a black widow exhaust waiting to go on... I'd like to clear it up before I go cutting because you can be guaranteed that GM wont do a thing for me with an exhaust on it.
  24. ahahahah this doesn't seem like a legit TSB
