  1. Dropped mine off at the body shop. Someone decided to back into the front fender of my truck while out to dinner over the weekend. Of course they just left and didn't leave any contact information. So due to someone being a prick I'm stuck paying for the damages on my new truck! I can only hope the damage to their vehicle was worse.
  2. Just got my Flowmaster cat back system installed yesterday. It sounds perfect. Nice and deep but not raspy at all. When it goes into V4 mode you can hear a difference. It does not drone but its pretty annoying to me, so I got a Diablo tuner and turned off the DOD. With the V4 mode disabled the muffler sounds great when accelerating and can barely notice it at cruising speed.
  3. Hey Mike, what brand HIDs did you use? Most companies say they have 25watt kits when they really aren't. The only company I have ever seen to actual post numbers and prove they have a cooler running kit is Oracle with their 24watt kit. It's still possible even with a true 25 watt kit it is still just to hot for the fogs.
  4. I just ordered the flowmaster cat back system with the 50 series muffler. My buddy just placed a 50 series on his 2012 avalanche and removed the resonator. After hearing his I was pretty happy with the sound. It has a nice rumble on the outside and on the inside. It is a nice deep clean sound with no popping or raspiness you get with some straight threw mufflers. When it is in 4 cyl mode it gets slightly louder. When you give it some gas in 4cyl mode it almost gets to the point it wants to drone but then shifts into 8 cyl mode. So the mount of gas it takes to make the 50 series drone in 4 cyl mode will make the truck shift out. Will update how it turns out on my 2014 Sierra.
  5. yeah it's normal. The ratio is somewhere around 2 to 1 for the front spacers.
  6. You shouldn't have to cut the bolt. Did you buy the correct kid for your truck? They have two kits, one for steel control arms and one for aluminum. I believe the bolts are different lengths for the kits.
  7. Has anyone seen the HID kits made by Oracle? They have a digital ballast available that says has all the capacitors and resistors built in. They still recommend a relay harness for power draw but nothing else is needed. They also have a 24 watt HID system. They are the first I've ever seen to post it actually runs 30% cooler then the 35 watt. The digital ballast is a little pricey but for those wanting a direct plug and play this is the closest I've seen. They still don;t have the 9012 bulb so you still have to modify a 9006.
  8. Thanks for the link...Just got one ordered. Looks good on the truck.
  9. My radio did the same code once about 3 months ago. Had to turn the truck off and reset it. Hasn't happened since.
  10. Does anyone have any experience with Gibson on the 2014 trucks? All the reviews I can find says they offer over a 15 H.P. gain and better gas mileage. I've heard both flowmaster and magnaflow in person. Curious on how the Gibson sounds on these trucks.
  11. Looking good Moto. Fits in their nice. Now you got the off road lights in the rear and the front. Just need to figure out how to upgrade the courtesy lights under your mirrors. Then your truck will look like its being lit up with a spot light from a helicopter at night. HaHa
  12. Put on some new tires. Went with Nitto Terra Grapplers in stock size 275/55/20.

  14. Nice to see people who add accessories then tune their vehicles afterwards. I can't wait to hear how it turns out. I got a feeling the 6 hour drive back is going to be more fun and quicker then the drive their was. HaHa. Good luck.
  15. It's amazing how many times you hear about people having their tires balanced several times and they are still wrong. When someone has work done to a vehicle it would be nice to trust the shop knows what they are doing. Someone should start a thread for reliable tire shops, rather it be a dealer or not. People could post names and locations of tire shops they've been to and recommend.
