  1. So what I'm getting from all this is that the grill shudders are close to the grill, and with them shut they hinder cold air into the grill and that hinders cold air to the top of the grill and prevents as much cold air getting over to the intake inlet. I don't think the shudders can be removed or held open with out getting a ses light. So maybe with a little effort and very minimal money, the shudders could be set back closer to the radiator letting more air in and actually making a difference in cold air and performance. Just a thought, maybe it won't work, and obviously to some it doesn't matter on a truck, I get that. But, that's how I like to mess with things. Minimal money for the gain.
  2. Well I’m getting a T1. So I would like to raise/eliminate the top speed governor please.
  3. I'm getting old and still like chrome. But I think these new trucks look terrible with the chrome front ends so I'm getting an RST with leather buckets and a 6.2. Unfortunately it's getting into LTZ pricing. Only thing I think I'm gonna miss is the auto dimming mirror.
  4. Tough question now that there are choices. The accessory grill looks gloss black and I was gonna go with that. Wrapping though gives a lot of choices. There are a few choices of black to choose from, maybe carbon fiber.
  5. I kinda like the grill bar cover idea. I was all set to get another grill, but maybe not.
  6. https://accessories.gm.com/knappmotors/product/exterior/grille-in-black-(for-vehicles-without-hd-surround-vision-camera)-84320548?year=2020&make=Chevrolet&model=Silverado 1500&bac=115109&modelId=491&body=Extended Cab Pickup&bodyId=18&wheel=Standard Box&wheelId=651&trim=RST&trimId=4962&drive=4WD&driveId=8&engine=5.3L V8 GAS&engineId=2059&bodyNumDoors=5&categoryId=12002 a little pricey from gm, but definitely not $700
  7. You can get a black grill as an accessory from GM.
  8. They’re pricey but the light up bow ties look pretty good. The portion that was chrome is what light up. When not lit it’s clear and doesn’t stick out nearly as much as the chrome, and looks pretty cool lit up, but for the $350...??
  9. So they stuck a smaller pipe inside the already small pipe that contains the flapper?
  10. I made sure they put premium in it. I kinda knew I was getting the truck.
  11. The 21 would light up the rears, in 2wd. I didn’t beat on it too much though. It just seemed a little held back, esp based on how hard it pulled once moving. My 18 would break all 4 or 3 loose for a second or so. The 18 will obliterate the rears if I’d let it, the 21 not as much. It’s brand new though, it should loosen up. And once moving, both truck have some sweet spots at different speeds for accelerating, but the 21 definitely had more. The 21 is a little funnier to drive, even though it is ugly.
  12. The gas pedal in a t1 is far enough from the trans that my foot can slide off to the right of the gas pedal. My foot isn’t as easy to rest on the gas pedal.
  13. Does tow haul and/or sport mode keep it out of overdrive or top gear(s)?
  14. Why not just swap the vortec heads and get a good flowing tbi style manifold or aftermarket intake and fuel injection. If I remember correctly, the ecm for a throttle body truck and a tuned port f-body is the same. And I think the “vortec” heads were used on a 95 TBI truck.
  15. So the dealership got a 21 RST 6.2 and of course 10 speed. I took it out for a drive and the truck seems to drive great, seemed lighter than my 18 6.2 8 speed (and definitely not as good looking). Both have 3.23 gears. So of course I got on it a few times and the 21 did show some signs of being 500 lbs lighter. My truck will squawk the tires a bit and pull hard when launching hard in 4wd. The 21 did not squawk the tires, however once moving pulled real hard, harder than mine. It was in sport mode with TC off. It was fun beating on this truck a bit. It’s speed limiter was 110ish. This particular RST stickered for a little over a grand more than my 18 loaded LTZ Redline. 58? vs 57? Don’t hate on me beating on this new truck. It’s one I suggested ordering to the dealership gm for me. I’m getting this truck next week.
  16. There is bulletin out for this issue. It replaces the endgate actuator. Part number is 84873070 #20-NA-040: Pickup Box Power Endgate May Not Open on Initial Press, or May Not Open at All
  17. There is a lot of unrest with NASCAR even up here (Ohio/Michigan line area). I hear a lot of people say they will no longer watch NASCAR, and with the steep decline in attendance over the last few years, NASCAR could be in trouble. Ironically, there are a few local very low budget dirt tracks around here that have been packing them in as opposed to only a few people in the stands. Now the whole noose publicity stunt....
  18. I drove a new style 19 for a couple days and it seemed a lot quicker than my old tuned 5.3, like you can tell it's about 500 lbs lighter. Its kinda disappointing that the new 6.2s aren't that much quicker or at all quicker than the old style. They definitely don't feel 500 lbs lighter than the old style.
  19. I like the toro personal pace lawnmowers. I bough my mom one 15 years ago and liked it so much I bought one. Both cut about a fourth of an acre and both are still going strong.
  20. I gonna have to sneak over the border. I live in Ohio and work in Michigan.
  21. Just throwing this out there, but have you made the truck forget the phone (your device) and make the phone forget the truck then try and repair your phone? It has helped in some cases similar to yours. Have you tried pairing another phone To your truck?
