I destroyed my connector as well...there was an excessive amount of glue used to hold it in place on the headliner. But, it still worked when plugged in. Just all the locking features of the connector are not there anymore. I may have zip tied it together...can't remember now.

That's very neighborly of you. ? I think I am going to hold off on any recall / updates to the brake system for a bit...mine isn't doing it at the moment. No need to fix what isn't broken (yet)

Although impressive for RAM, it doesn't tell the whole story: Total GM truck (Silverado and Sierra) sales were 807,923 both LD and HD RAM doesn't break out those numbers. So, we don't know how many LD rams were sold vs. Chevy or GMC. That's your penance for not buying a V8... All joking aside, it's more than likely normal and you aren't used to the lope of this particular engine. I don't think these V6's are known to be particularly rough? Good luck with your new truck.

There is such a thing as: "Mine doesn't do it" and "I have no issues" These trucks do not have a 100% failure rate. Which is what you just claimed in your post. I get that these trucks have problems, and for the people experiencing them it sucks. Bad. But saying that every 8spd transmission is going to nuke itself with your only basis being what you read on this board is terribly misleading. I come to the troubleshooting forum to see what the typical problems for these trucks are, which I am an owner of one. But it seems that all these posts just devolve into name calling...

Update: My radio came in and was installed on Wed, Dec. 4th. All is well. Phone pairs seamlessly with the infotainment and all contacts are imported and show up on the DIC. I am able to use hands-free calling now.

I have no intention of arguing with anyone that has lost brakes. Since I do own one of these trucks, I am interested in the overall outcome of this condition. This issue, more than any other the new Silverado's are experiencing, is paramount, since this one over all the other more common issues has the highest potential to cause the loss of life. Getting whipped into a frenzy over actuarial tables and conspiracy theory tangents helps nobody and doesn't get to the root of the issue, or help anyone that may have to interface with their dealer or GM directly.

Yes, you are. You were responding to someone's comments on actuarial tables. "The actuaries at General Motors have determined it’s more economical for you and your family to die in a horrific car crash and settle the lawsuit out of court. Issuing a recall for their defective systems would cost hundreds of millions and spread across several vehicle product lines." That actuarial comment is based on opinion, not fact. There is no proof of a grand conspiracy behind the loss of brakes on these trucks. Bad Engineering, yes. Bad manufacturing, yes. Bad customer service, yes.

Mine won't sync any phone's contact list. My personal phone (android) or work phone (iPhone) will not sync. Took it to the dealer...service advisor tried his phone with same results. I left it with them for a day. They told me they tried getting GM to help them and still no luck. Have a new radio on order. No timeline of when this will be in to replace it. This was three weeks ago.

How many miles have you put on since the fix?

Did you try putting your summer rims / tires back on to see if this relieves the fault? Edit: Just saw you are doing that now. Let us know how it goes.

Coefficient of Thermal Expansion Probably in reference to dissimilar materials (metals). F'ing Engineers.... FWIW (for what it's worth), my roof has the same popping sound every so often. No noise out of the leafs yet. Or front diff (jingle) Does have the recirc whistle 3,000 miles.

Maybe the blue trucks are easier to work on...

When I first bought the truck, I had a loaner (minor dent taken care of in my truck). That truck had IOR, and my phone contacts sync'd fine. It's amazing that the IOS will not. I just went and tried to sync my work phone, which is an iphone 8s...and it won't import those contacts either. Looks like a trip to the dealer. I tried working it through with customer service on a chat...no solution. I suspect this is going to lead to a new infotainment system in the long run. It's a minor inconvenience...but I do like having it. This feature in my 2014 Silverado worked fine.

I am having same problem with my Galaxy S8. IOS will not import contacts from phone.

Your truck looks great! Standard beds are as rare as hen's teeth, but for those of us that drive them it is a preference. Where you get those rear letters from?

OP: Sorry the 2019 didn't work out for you. I am loving my '19 so far. I do admit that the interior is not as slick as the Ram and should have been better. Possibly when the refresh comes out I may upgrade, but I don't feel that compelled right now. I am happy with the features and look of this one. I just came out of a '14 which was a great truck and I like the familiarity to that one. Very functional in my opinion.

What size / type / brand push pins you use? I have an AVS bugflector coming this week. Might as well be ready for it.

I really like the look of those letters. Might do those on my Northsky Z71. I was thinking black, but I like the outline contrast.
