  1. Most of the aftermarket condensers still seem to be made better than the "updated" GM version and at half the cost. You can still do this yourself as others have suggested for probably less than $200 all in. $400 with GM assistance is still double the true cost if you ask me. But, the Techs have to get paid I guess.
  2. That does sound good. Much like a complete aftermarket system. I am really a fan of the new T1 dual rectangular exhaust look through the bumper. RAM and Ford are still using round tips.
  3. Yes I feel better in that regard but finding the time is the hard part. Or I could just trade it in on a T1
  4. The "Goodwill" program or policy is a blessing in disguise. I do not know the whole story behind it but Goodwill saved me $3500 back in 2008. I had an 05 Avalanche and my 4L60E transmission failed at 42K miles, beyond my standard 3/36 warranty and I had no extension. When the service advisor called me and said that he had good news and bad news on my transmission I asked what is the bad news? He said you are out an 02 sensor. I said what is the good news. He said your getting a new transmission courtesy of GM via the Goodwill program and it would cost nothing. So it is good to hear that in certain situations the Goodwill program is still given out today.
  5. Results sound similar to the 5100 over the lackluster factory Rancho. Man those 6112's are beefy. Too bad they do not make a rear as well.
  6. It is possible since everything is hooked up together for the most part. My radiator was replaced under warranty due to cycling thermostat. When I had that done the service advisor asked me if I had the condenser replaced yet. So they at least know it was/is a problem. I wish they would have went ahead and replaced it while they were in there. I now have the typical fracture crack where the joint is going to the dryer.
  7. Thanks for the info Robert. Seems there are several replacement options out there. Ranging from about $70 up to a factory GM unit for over $200 Average price for a big box auto parts store is about $140 I agree GM should warranty this much like the failing Radiators due to cycling Thermostat on the earlier '14 and '15 models.
  8. Did you go with an AC Delco/Gm brand Condenser or aftermarket? I would assume the GM gaskets/O-rings will fit an aftermarket condenser.
  9. For all of you guys who have replaced the condenser yourself, did you install new O-Rings in the AC lines at the bottom passenger side? Do the new condensers come with them?
  10. another good video:
  11. How is the ride Rosco?
  12. It's not my truck. Just some info I came across for you T1 owners/members I am in the midst of raising/investing in two great kids. Once they are out of the nest I will invest in a new toy such as the above for me
  13. 36's might be perfect? LOL
  14. Pump is about $135 You can do it yourself in about 2 hours but somewhat of a pain to get to accessing mounting bolts. Yes, just now coming up with this "extended" protection for those 14 and 15 owners who are already beyond 72K is very sand and unfortunate, as most that have this problem are the 14 and 15 owners. A few 16 and up here and there but they are already covered under factory warranty.
  15. For those of you lift kit and larger tire fans......
  16. AMEN ! The reason why I created a poll on this very subject.
  17. Not to argue as this is a personal opinion and to each their own, but.... look at most all factory shocks. They are Body down, boot or cover up. Including the factory GM Rancho branded Tenneco shocks that come on Z71s. Body down with plastic cover over the shaft at top. And how many truck owners actually take them off road anyway?
  18. Many reports out there indicate that the T1 seats regardless of Trim level are not as comfortable as they were in the K2 trucks. This goes back to the early launch back in August.
  19. They are monotube design. Makes no difference which way you mount. Boot up or Down. I tried both ways for about 1,000 miles and no difference at all in ride or handling. My end preference was boot up. You can either flip the decal or remove it all together.
  20. That is your dealers way of saying " We do not want to mess with it "
  21. IMHO it is the AFM system that makes most of the 6 or even 8 speed 2014 and up GM trucks shift like crap. I have proven this myself by running my 6 speed around in M5 or using E85 Overall I like my 6 speed and it shifts smooth and behaves like it should but every now and then it is confused and a bit clunky. Most of this bad behavior occurs in correlation with switching back and forth from V4 to V8
  22. 4600 and 5100 are built identically on the internal side other than a longer shaft for the 2" of lift.
  23. E85 isn't for everyone and can be a debatable subject. I have ran it in the spring-fall months for years now and do not regret it.
  24. Many with the KO2's report a firmer harsher ride. Especially with the E load ranges.
