I used Sylvania Zevo's from Autozone. Plug and play. No errors.

If you look closer, notice how the airbox is now on the right, the oil dipstick is on the left? This is a huge change for the 1500 Silverado sierra over past generations. The "cold air " comes thru the front grille area then to the box and into the engine from the right. check out this diagram:

Pretty typical of the Exhaust Adaptive or "flapper valve" just behind the muffler. Mine use to chirp also during V4 to V8 and also on warm startups. Thought it was my starter. Some here have reported GM replacing entire exhaust under warranty. Option 2 is to clamp the valve open or try to lubricate the heck out of it.

This pedal flexing might be GM's intentional way of squeezing another .01mpg out of the truck to meet CAFE standards...…. Now we are all screwing that up with our shims and paint sticks! LOL

CGFF, What made you go with a Silverado over replacing your Tacoma?

Depends on options you want. Right now the build is not up for a Silverado. A GMC SLE Crew Cab short bed 4x4 starts out at $44k SLT Crew short bed 4x4 is 51k These are MSRP Employee discount averages about 5k

My 05 Silverado had 4600's from the factory and they were great. 4600 style also goes back to my factory 2004 Silverado SB Reg. Cab Z71

I agree. Was just curious since the lower arm mount is the same. Bilstein must really be scratching their heads getting the 6112 to work with our trucks. It has been over 3 years since the tease.....

Some websites still list them on backorder for 2014 and up Silverado/Sierra. MRT has not updated their website since January. They have been available for the 2015 and up Tahoe/Yukon, but not Silverado/Sierra. I have often wondered if the Tahoe part number will work on a Silverado Sierra.

My "Chirp" on startup was related to the exhaust flapper valve. It would only happen when the truck was warm, not cold. I thought it was the starter hanging up. Upon further inspection it was the flapper. I pinned it open and Voila, chirp was gone.

Same here. Label off, Boot up. I drove around a while with them Boot down and no difference in ride or handling. Boot up looks better and makes more sense.

For those planning on purchasing a 2019 T1 GMC or Chevy, Make sure you get it up to about 100 on the highway during the test drive. Then maybe the decision of staying loyal or jumping ship to another brand will be easier to make. Although I hear this happens with Ford and Ram as well. Not sure about Toyota or Nissan. I have a slight shimmy/shake only between about 70-80mph and I only see it when I look over at the passenger seat moving if empty. No steering wheel or console shaking. Nothing like some report here or videos I have seen. Never did I get above about 65 on my test drive.

What did you use to cut? Jigsaw, grinder with cutoff wheel? Looks good! Also is your Sierra Leveled in the front?

Anyone know i the inner portion of a 2014-2018 2500 Sierra Denali grille will fit a 14-15 Sierra 1500? Example shown below. Center portion of 2500 outlined in yellow. I would like to replace my 2014 with this 2018 HD version. Is the size/frame the same?

So are the 6112's Finally released? According to the link posted above it looks like it. At least from MRT. It does not say backordered.
