  1. Dynos are all different, and extrapolating gains from a single number are meaningless. Especially when trying to compare power at the crank versus wheels. The only way to tell what your gains are, requires a baseline pull with no mods. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  2. I’m just the opposite, I love the chrome honeycomb! I’m considering trading my Z71 grille for one TBH Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Could mean fleet/government only...? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  4. My 3/4 ton Ram CTD rode extremely well. And was flat awesome off-road. Carli Suspension knows how to dial those trucks in. But even with a good guy discount, it was still pretty pricey. But I’d do it again in a heartbeat if I had a need for a heavier-duty truck When I was young, I put my money into engine mods. As I got older, I put all my money into suspension. I won’t settle for a crappy ride. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  5. I believe the King PN is 25001-154 The invoice from my buddy’s shop just says KINGREAR LOL This is my first Chevy truck. I usually opt for custom valving but was reco’d to try the stock valving first. I also wanted Deaver’s, but was reco’d to try the stock leafs first. I won’t be making any changes to this setup. Ride quality is amazing. There’s a lot of compliance, then they firm-up as they compress for good bottom-out resistance. Rebound is very controlled, no pogo-effect off-road. I don’t slow down for things like speed bumps...no need. I stepped down to a 1500 so I didn’t have to spend huge money getting a good ride out of another 3/4 ton truck. Very happy with the ride quality. Especially considering I have E Rated Nitto MT tires. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  6. You live in Australia? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  7. Any truck I’ll ever own, will have King’s. They ain’t cheap, so it really depends on your priorities. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  8. Welp, that’s DEFINITELY your bumpstop [emoji4][emoji90] Cut them at your peril. Bottoming out onto hard parts is no bueno. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. Technically bumpstops are for up travel. Service perches are for down travel (I assume these are what you’re referring to). I cut mine, but had reassurances from King that my coilovers would be fine. I know many others also cut them, I just don’t know if any other setups have downtravel limitations built into the hardware or not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. And just to muddy the waters for ya...not all coilovers (or shocks for that matter) are created equal. And, depending on who did the valving, you could have a good setup, or a crappy setup, even with the same brand and part numbers. A King or Fox sticker on a piece of car jewelry isn’t a guarantee of anything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. CAFE standards were frozen. They weren’t eliminated. Carmakers still have to meet current fleet mpg standards, just not the retarded “54 mpg fleet average by 2025” standard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  12. I’m really curious to know how loud/quiet these will be. Toyos aren’t too loud. My new Nittos are slightly quieter IMHO, but hard to say without back to back testing, on the same truck, with same tire size. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. These aren’t the tires OP is posting about...? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. I like antenna n my lifted trucks. The antenna is typically slightly higher than the roofline - if it scrapes then it’s a warning that clearance is tight. I keep a small wrench in my glovebox to remove it for car washes. But yeah, I put a shorty rubberized one on my non-lifted suburban. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  15. I really wanted to give these a go, but didn’t want to be the guinea pig either LOL Yoko makes very good tires, and I have little doubt that these will be awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  16. 3/1 lift using factory UCA’s...what could possibly go wrong? You get what you pay for. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  17. You’re saying that this setup is more expensive than King’s and/or Fox setups, at $1299...? I need to shop where you do. Dealer cost for 2.5” King’s is almost twice that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  18. Look into Timbrens [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  19. Dunno about consensus, but I’m running 285/65-18 (33x11.5x18) tires on stock wheels, leveled. Very slight rub at full lock, Nitto MT’s have very large lugs. I don’t believe (but don’t know for sure) that an AT tire would rub at all.
  20. Increasing unsprung weight has zero positive benefits. In the case of ride quality, the increased mass means the wheel is less responsive to pavement irregularity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  24. It’s absolutely possible to get a smooth ride. It’s just not cheap. If you’re ever in DFW and would like to ride in a smooth pickup, I’d be happy to take you for a spin. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  25. True dat. That’s close to what I paid for 2.5” rezzie King shocks and coilovers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
