  1. Seems plausible but it also seems like a sales pitch for a $399.99 app for your cell phone. I’m skeptical ?
  2. Well it won’t mean anything except to those who know but...
  3. Well...she did a great job and has me second guessing my choice of White, I don't know if GMC even sports that color?
  4. Don’t know for sure but I doubt they’d even notice it since it’s a cluster they are used to seeing. Now if you were to take it in because your cluster was malfunctioning or something like the DIC was acting weird then yea probably wouldn’t cover that. IF you do what is supposed to happen I can’t see it being a problem. Even though my cluster was brand new and a genuine GM part, I’m keeping my stock one just in case something fails like the Tach or something stops working.
  5. Oops! Well it’s a pleasure sharing ?
  6. Maybe ?...whatcha got sporting the 502? I put one in my 70 Chevelle ? Sorry to those who I offended, yes I know this is a truck forum...was just defending my User name lol...I don’t know how to delete the picture but as soon as I figure it out I will for those who kindly pointed out this is a truck forum not a car forum. If it helps...the 6.2 FEELS sorta close ?
  7. It may just be for our wonderful neighbors to the North...that link takes you to Amazon Canada and that particular item won’t ship to the U.S. just an FYI
  8. As mentioned, Pace Performance. They got mine fast with no core requirements. The swap takes 15 minutes max so as Pgamboa said retain your stock for dealer visits. I would also suggest watching Pgamboa’s install video on YouTube...very straight forward and easy to understand.
  9. X2 Excellent looking truck!! I stole the picture it’s that nice!!?
  10. And here I thought the 14/18 platform was the bus.
  11. Hey Mike, make sure you go through WAMS before you buy anything! Don’t assume (not saying you are) that those part numbers will interchange because they won’t. I had questions too because it is a major cost especially if you buy the wrong one. WAMS will verify the part you’re looking at with your VIN and confirm compatibility. You have to be patient too because they are ALWAYS swamped...they do a lot more than programming of our clusters. Chris returned every email I sent (and do it during their POSTED business hours) usually within a couple hours. The swap is actually very simple and just an FYI...your fuel range and “Best mpg” will have to relearn itself so don’t think it’s not working. The average mpg started reading immediately and the “Best” just showed dashes at first. It started showing “Best” after 48 miles. Maybe too much information but it’s a good to know thing! Good luck Mike, you will really like the way it works. Oh and one more thing that was strange in a good way for me, my Intellibeam system never worked from day one. I haven’t had it looked at because I’m just now at 1557 miles BUT they started working after the swap.
  12. I did mine the first week I bought it, you’re 100% correct in it being the easiest Mod! Really cleans up the look while being functional keeping garbage from getting in there. Looks great ??
  13. That looks VERY nice, love white with black wheels...
  14. Well...I REALLY hate to admit this but I’m too old to be bothered by being a tad slow! I had the tonneau (Bakflip 4) installed the day I picked up the truck in September. Until today, I did not know I had under rail bed lights. Was just sifting through the Mods section and read something about them...yeah I feel stupid but hey there is the possibility that there is someone (well maybe not) as clueless as me lol.
  15. I don't blame you! On the 2018, that wire is just a replicator signal wire and doesn't do anything but transfer a signal to the ANC system, I wouldn't be cutting anything on a 2019! I only did it after many other guinea pigs found the "fix", LOL. I really was adding it to show that the ANC (at least in ours) uses more than the Infotainment to work.
  16. I know the ANC uses (at least on the 2018 Sierra) the Crankshaft position sensor replicated signal and the interior microphones. I believe it is designed to be independent from the Infotainment so that it works regardless of the stereo being on or off. Also it is USUALLY most active between 800-1600 RPM. This is the thread that shows how those of us adding aftermarket subs use to disable the ANC: https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/199343-2016-chevy-silverado-how-to-disable-active-noise-cancellation/ Yes, I know this is 2018 information but it MAY help.
  17. Yep...GM is not about anything but money, be it taking ours or cutting everything possible...this is directly from their talking points when discussing the lay-offs and plant closings, none of which are in China or Mexico: "The leadership team is very focused on improving our cash generation and profit performance on each of our vehicles."
  18. Nice, wish I had a welder or access to one!...here is a cheap way to cover those frame holes if you’re interested. Keeps junk out at the very least. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N94IGOG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_LqZ.Bb1HVT7WF Either way that’s a great piece of work ?
  19. It sounds similar to others that have noisy HP fuel pumps. May not even be in the ballpark but thought I’d at least mention it.
  20. I agree, my 18 SLT is pretty good too...not as good as my Accord but almost and certainly very acceptable. I back out of a dark driveway every morning and can easily see pea gravel and pine needles even in the dark and my back-up lights are stock. Not sure if it matters but my build date is 08/09/2018 but I would guess it's the same camera.
  21. My friend had this issue on his 2018 Sierra. The cause for him was that he put one of those storage bins that are made to go under the back seat. With the seats down, they pushed on the bin a little which in turn flattened out the GM all weather mats causing the rubber to push out slightly making it a bit harder to shut. I think he ended up trimming the mats.
  22. Well, mine are good but I have "tweeked" several doors over the years...last one was a 2008 Avalanche. Had some wind noise from the drivers window area...lowered the window, open the door, put your knees on the door and GENTLY give a few tugs to the top of the window frame...test drive and repeat as required but it's worked every time. The trick is to not tug too hard the first few times and do it gradually. No more wind leak sounds. Have no idea how to fix the bottom of the door.
  23. Wow...that’s a lot of work! Well done, looks awesome ?
  24. ? Chris White is the ultimate professional and PGAMBOA's install video is as good as it gets. Swap took 15 minutes and works perfectly.
  25. I wouldn’t say “normal” my 18 6.2 has never made anything close to what is being described. I can hear (well used to hear but have the Borla ATAK now) the injectors if I’m outside the truck...can’t hear them inside at all.
