  1. I just bought mine at the end of April. No squeeling brakes yet. I've had what feels like a late down shift when slowing to a stop or gliding around turns. No noise involved, but gives a little shove which makes me feel like an internal action, rather than a loose mount. I've fealt this in a lot of other transmissions and this is my first of this model, so I wasn't really alarmed. The real rest will be a tow next week after I finally get the boat ready for the water.
  2. Same here. I have a 2020 custom with a bottom of the barrel radio. The FM was horrendous. My 03 didn't have blue tooth before, after about a week of the crap, I finally started playing music off my Amazon account. HUGE difference off the phone. I suspect the speakers are tuned for clear cell calls, the FM be damned. Maybe it's also GMs nod to serious satellite service? Also, it's unfortunate that the phone has to be plugged in for other features. Waze is great off the phone or go to your other favorite satellite imaging. GM should do away with their nav these days anyway. Push hot spot technology in the vehicle with stronger signals and they will come. Hell, I hear iPhones track everybody for free now, anyway.
  3. Interested as well. Been waiting to see if S&B came out with one, but even their 1500 series is backordered. Maybe a Covid/staffing issue? This AFE isn't showing any reviews yet, but their stuff is top end. Actually, looks like this listing is a pre-order, so nobody has one to try yet.
  4. Not telling anybody what they can or can't do to their truck. Just comparing to another states law. Somebody unlucky enough to get picked out of the crowd, this'll be what they get told.
  5. Here in Michigan, to our have to take the prescription in and have a medical endorsement put on your license, like they do for prescription lenses. Then you can't really legally drive a vehicle that is not tinted.
  6. Probably would've told them to swap them from another truck before it left the lot. If they didn't make a claim on arrival, it would've been their loss. Now that you left with it, Hopefully they stick to their verbal contract if you didn't get something documented. Otherwise...
  7. 2500/3500'a are built in Flint. They are still being sent to New Boston (Detroit) to ship out by rail across the country. I don't see why 1500's would not also be rail headed? I think your dealer is mis informed.
  8. Ok, thanks. Been contemplating a dash replacement on my custom. But not being able to scroll the menu is holding me back.
  9. Have you contacted White's or anybody to see if it could be programmed?
  10. My previous 1500 CC had the surface mounted vents. The turbulence with the windows down for the dogs was bad, but the rear slider open helped some. My 2020 CC without visors has real bad turbulence and came without a rear slider to help. I suspect the large towing mirrors are the contributing factor, aside from a more blunt front end than earlier trucks. Anybody see any improvement of the turbulence by adding the vents? May go flush mount this time, but I like the look of the truck without them as well.
  11. Anybody up north have any input on how the retractables fair in the winter? I assume you mostly leave them frozen in place. Wondering ice building up and damaging any interior components.
  12. Sounds normal. Haven't towed anything yet, but my cruising temps are about the same. Hoping to get the boat hooked up this month (about 5000lb dry). Not ready for the water just yet. I'm thinking even governed to the higher temp, this tranny shouldnt even blink.
  13. Call 911! J.K. Since they broke the cherry, you aughta tell them to expect to be paying for it for the next 18 years.
  14. I think it looks pretty decent. Considering GM has made it near impossible to add factor marker lights up top for 2020, this might be a good alternative for towing. Maybe even stick one on the running board, midship.
  15. If you go out on a muddy trail, be careful in the bumpy or washboard areas. With these stiff rear springs, the rear end will want to come right around on ya quick. I had.a little pucker factor on a muddy narrow lane in a tunnel of trees when I got on a little washboard and came sideways. It's alright though, I didn't get the truck for a lot of offroading.
  16. Barely able to see in the photo, but added some dog slobber for aero dynamics. Worked well getting the new dining room table home quickly. I know, not much of a load, but it's barely broke in. Co pilots liked the ride.
  17. Another confirmation that first responders will get supplier pricing. Tht can be combined with the customer cash incentive, but they won't do other discounts. I qualified for that and was able to get an employees discount number, but they will only allow use of one or the other.
  18. Excellent, thanks.
  19. Good shot of the spoiler mounts. That helps, thanks. There's another thread of guys in hot climates complaining of a popping noise there from heat expansion. One listed a fix of adding a piece of electrical tape as a gasket at each screw. Hasn't warmed enough here to see if mine will have that issue, but can definitely have a game plan ready now when the time comes. Should have some switches on the way now, myself.
  20. Curious if when any of you guys were accessing the roof by dropping the headliner, if you took the opportunity to see what was in or under the plastic spoiler over the back window? I'm curious as to how durable the thing is for possibly adding some LED's for back illumination, or some Amber's if I were to mount a plow later. Thinking of some smaller flush mount types. May also add marker lights to the front of the roof down the road as well, so would need to drop the liner anyway.
  21. Where are you? If Michigan is feasible for you, it looks like there may be one more black Custom Crew Cab at Garber Chevy in Saginaw. I bought the other custom Crew, and the custom double cab they had looks to have sold already. No HDs have been made since around October and not many out there, so they haven't been even budging on price it seems.
  22. What brand of lights for the grill and steps? Would be interested in some amber for the grill after reading ho easy gm decided to make it to install the roof marker lights for towing.
