  1. Look carefully along the headliner above the rear window. Some of these trucks leaked above the high mount stoplight. Maybe check for wetness there after a heavy rain or a carwash.
  2. Sugartit sounds like a nice little town.
  3. Gonna try to get a Gen 3 installed in my truck under warranty. We will see!
  4. I have used the Range Technologies DFM disabler on 3 T1s. 2021 and 2023 with 5.3 and 2025 w/6.2. They all worked perfectly. There are some people who think if you have the collapsible lifters that they will fail regardless but i don't believe that. I have been a Master Technician for over 35 years. My advice to you is get the Range disabler and don't worry about the lifters. By the way this also disables auto stop/start which most people hate.
  5. Regarding accuracy your profile states 21 Silverado.
  6. OK sorry if I wasn't clear in my reply. Both exhaust systems I modified were 5.3L. I did not straight pipe the entire exhaust system. I cut out the flapper valve and replaced it with a straight pipe. Then cut out the stock muffler and installed a high flow glass pack muffler. Both of these Silverados were under factory warranty. Both mods on both trucks were done at a muffler shop for under $300.00. $2400.00 for a new exhaust is crazy. I would not straight pipe the entire exhaust. My advice is take it to a good muffler/exhaust shop and have them remove the flapper valve and install a nice high flow glass pack muffler. Neither of my trucks had any drone. Lastly I have used Range Technologies DFM disable module on all my T1 trucks and never had a problem (2 5.3L and my current 6.2L).
  7. Clamp it open or have a muffler shop cut it out and install a straight pipe. I've removed 2 flapper valves on T1s and never had any drone.
  8. What engine? How many miles? What year is your truck?
  9. Your profile still reads 2015 GMC Sierra Z71.
  10. The OP has not been on this site since December 22.
  11. Good news! I had not heard about this.
  12. Not worth it/not needed IMO.
  13. Good luck. Hopefully the water pump and an oil change takes care of it.
  14. Nice to hear about a good one for a change. Only 3000 on mine so far. I usually ride the Harley when its not snowing.
  15. Beautiful. Enjoy that big motor!
  16. I have never any had wind noise in any of my Trail Bosses 2021, 23 or 25.
  17. I do and I'm driving one right now. The crankshaft/bearing issue has been resolved according to GM. My Service Manager has assured me that there are no further issues and mine is running great. I personally would never own a diesel. I've worked on many diesels and cant stand them. I also think the fuel stinks. If your worried about the 6.2 engine don't test drive one because if you do you will buy it! Good luck on your decision.
  18. I was just on Chevrolet Accessories website and checked 10 dealers near Minneapolis Minnesota and all were backordered. I left my email with my preferred dealer and will wail for in stock notification. Weird.
  19. I know. I don't get it but i tried to order it and their website says backordered.
  20. Shortage of rare earth minerals? Too much Silverado Sierra inventory unsold? GM has announced that they are going to build more cars/trucks in the USA because of tariffs. They have added a shift at Ft Wayne assembly.
  21. This calibration is now on backorder.
  22. Defective machining on the crankshaft and or debris wiping out crankshaft bearings on some 2021s. 22s, 23s and 24s.
