  1. I never trusted it either unless it was calculated at fill up, but I've been impressed with this one. While I'm filling up, I will divide the miles driven by the average MPG shown to see how many gallons it should take to fill up. It's almost always within .1-.2 gallons, varies mostly if the fuel area isn't level.
  2. Lifetime average so far on my 4.3, 4x4 truck after 3,400 miles is 16.3 MPG. Mostly city driving. DIC is very accurate, usually within .1mpg.
  3. No issues with the rear door, just used that as an example of thing that you don't normally think about checking, you just assume it is there. You are correct, it's not worth a $5k upgrade for the console, but is is just aggravating enough to be a real downer when you get a new truck. Also the WT truck has a pocket on the back of the front seats that the Custom doesn't have, another thing that doesn't seem like the savings would be worth having two different seats in inventory.
  4. I might have ordered a higher trim level if I would have known the console had no storage, but it's not mentioned anywhere. I also didn't think to ask of the rear doors open, some things you just assume are going to be there. Mine was the first Custom the sales guy had seen, he spent 10 minutes trying to get it open. It probably costs Chevy more to produce two different consoles than to include what should have been there all along.
  5. Great looking truck, I like the black badges. Did you add black to the tailgate lettering?
  6. That is a great looking custom! I think that only the second nonTrailboss Custom pictured, my white Custom was the first. I really like the clean look of the grill compared to the rest of the line-up. Just wish Chevrolet could have added $5.00 worth of storage to the center console.
  7. Whats the problem with a whip antenna? All vehicles have had them for what, the last 80-90 years? The only reason I can see that it would be a problem is if you have a 7' garage door. Mine is 8', so no problem for me. I do have to ask though, does the stubby antenna have better reception that the whip? my '02 Silverado (with the whip) had better reception than my '19.
  8. Not just a T1, but saw when I parked at work that we had the last four Silverado models in a row.
  9. I've been thinking about adding them also, cleaning the wheel wells is a pain with all of the screws sticking into the wheel well to clean around. How much did they cost?
  10. I didn't know there was no storage in the console when I ordered it, by the time you find out it's too late. Even the dealer sales rep couldn't believe it, I guess mine was the first one he has seen.
  11. Mine does the same thing if I open the rear door to get something out of the back. I'm guessing its the fuel pump, but it seems unnecessary when opening the back door.
  12. Has anyone found a replacement console that is actually useful yet? I can't believe they put such a waste of space in a vehicle. It can't be a cost issue, shouldn't cost them more than $20 extra to make one that opens. It seems like something they did to try to force you into an upper trim level.
  13. LED bed lighting is included in the Custom Convinience Package.
  14. The extra lights in the bed are nice.
  15. According to the display, the remote should also raise the windows with the remote, but it only lowers them when the unlock button is pressed, holding the lock button doesn't do anything. Maybe an update in the future will make this operational.
  16. Picked it up today. A couple of pictures next to one of our 2018's at work.
  17. I pick up my double cab, standard bed Custom tomorrow (Thursday), Friday will be eight weeks from the day it was ordered from the dealer.
  18. Nice looking RST, I like the color! The dealer said my custom would be ready to pick up by noon tomorrow, I stopped in after work this evening and it looks to me like it's ready to go now. I think this is the first Custom on the thread that isn't a Trail Boss. I'll get more pictures tomorrow.
  19. With those features, it will probably cost more than my first truck.
  20. Off topic, but that's the first picture of a new truck I've seen in a long time with white letter tires. Call me an old school redneck, but I've put them on everything I've owned since my '70 Monte Carlo. My company has a white '19 custom on order for me, wasn't sure what it would look like with white letters.
  21. Any idea of build dates of trucks with leaks? Has GM resolved this, or could current production trucks still have a problem?
