  1. Is it down shifting to first or to the next lower gear? Big difference because it will not go to 1st over a certain speed. It is also supposed to do that when using cruise to help maintain the speed you selected and not go over.
  2. Interesting, I put the info in for our 2016 Suburban and it stated not capable due to direct injection. Funny, because I converted it myself by adding the sensor, the pigtail was already there and had Black Bear Performance tune it.
  3. Yes we just had a price increase in May. Hopefully it will be the last one for a while. I remember O.E. when it first came out was right at $4.50 a qt.
  4. Thanks for the reminder. I need to clean the one in my Cruze. I put a K&N in it. I figure it just needs to filter out the big stuff, not as important as the engine filter.
  5. I highly suggest you have the transmission serviced at 50k I do that to all my vehicles. You of course will be doing more often then the average person since you put the miles on so fast, but if you plan on keeping the truck I would recommend it.
  6. Any mods done? What all did they do for the dyno tune? If just took your stock truck and put it on the dyno and tuned it then you should be able to go back to stock. What year truck? Engine? @BlackBearPerf
  7. Send me a PM on what you are looking at getting and I can get you a quote as well as get you set up as a Preferred Customer where you save 25% over the prices listed on the web site. AMSOIL exceeds the dexos specification. It's not on GM's list. AMSOIL isn't going to pay to be put on a list so GM can make more money off them. The product speaks for it's self. It is all I use in everything I own that takes a lubricant. Have been for over 20 years now.
  8. $3.97 for regular here at Ingles.
  9. Good read for sure. Now if they would have E85 at every station and make an ICE with 18:1 to be able to use it. Now that is dreaming.
  10. That is expensive for parts considering it is just regular AC Delco fluid. 3qts for transfer case? It takes 3.2 pints. So 2qts. and it would take 5qts of gear oil. So for all that it would be $160 for AMSOIL fluids not including tax.
  11. Wix is made in USA. There is a plant here in NC.
  12. Plus, these Easy Packs make changing the fluid a nice clean process.
  13. Bummer, it seems here all the BP, Exxon and Shell along with Circle K are players. Most .14 cents back and up to .25 cents.
  14. Anyone using the Get Upside app? A friend of ours puts a ton of miles on her vehicle for her job and uses it and has gotten back some serious cash. I have it and used it but seems a while back the stations close didn't participate. Just looked and now they do and one is at .25 a gallon pay out. Also I have $54 in my account. I guess I need to transfer it to my Paypal. LOL
  15. I've been rolled coal on while out on my bike. Couldn't see for a few seconds. Held my breath the best I could. My tailpipe on my Cruze diesel is cleaner than on my Silverado or our Suburban. I'm not against mods, it can be done to the point to get great performance over emission equipped and still burn clean to a point.
  16. Might be the case on pre 2001 vehicles but mine using E85 have shown better results in their UOA when I use E85. This is why I asked Grumpy to do an oil change, run E85 100% until the next oil change and then do a UOA. Curious to see his results. Unfortantly we moved and E85 isn't as available as before so I can't do that.
  17. Basically, when you do the next oil change, run nothing but E85 until you do the next oil change and take a sample. Would be interesting to see how using 100% E85 would effect the UOA.
  18. Sorry to hear. We have a tabby that is nowhere near a cat. Doesn't get up on things, plays some, eats flies, which is fun to watch her do and is a lab girl 100% When I met Susan she had a siamese. He was something. Came one one day and a bird got into the house through the chimney. It was an old 1850's house. The bird was dead in the hallway, but poop trails all along the walls from downstairs to up stairs. Needless to say, Wiggy had a blast catching it.
  19. Not to side track but it would be interesting to see a UOA of Pepper using E85 100% from one oil change to the next.
  20. Still $4.50 here for 87
  21. I have had this for years. Works great for lawn mowers. I never use their drain plugs. I just run it to warm up the oil and suck it out.
  22. Sorry but just realized you posted in the title 6L80. Duh!!!! Here is the TSB
  23. The TC went out fast. Driving normal, started making a sound and then within 3 miles no forward or reverse gears. Shut down and towed it to the transmission shop. $3,900 rebuild, new billet converter and Sonnax pump and other parts for an upgrade. Then had Black Bear Performance tune it and not allow lock up until 5 and 6th gear.
