  2. Hope someone can help me out. I bought a used 2018 GMC Sierra HD 2500 and I'm trying to determine if it has aftermarket rear blocks installed. Rear blocks measures 1.0" thick. Is that stock or an aftermarket add-on? Thanks

  5. Mike, I know this thread is old, but I wanted to see if you ever resolved your steering problem/concern. I have a 2018 GMC Denali 2500HD with the same issue. Great steering effort/feedback up to 45mph, and then the effort starts to drop off. Down to zero at 65. Magically, my steering effort returns at 75mph and above. Making problems worse is, I tow a 9K travel trailer at speeds averaging 65, where my steering feedback is the worst. I'm constantly correcting/over correlating while towing, no matter the road condition. Very nerve racking at time. Otherwise the truck drives/tows great. I've had it to the dealership twice and they say it's normal and want to blame the issue on my A/T Tires or Shocks (head scratcher) Any updates/feedback would be great appreciated. I'm going to try a different dealership next week to get a second opinion.

  8. Glad to hear GM came through. Amazing this is not a safety recall for everyone I also had my rear window assembly replaced last week under the service bulletin. On a side note, I suspect GM is staggering the roll out of certain VIN's/Vehicles to northern state sales (Increased defrost use!!), which I think is BS. I believe they're also trying to dampen the demand for repair parts by slowing the roll-out: "Parts Pre-Ship Information – For USA and Canada Pre-shipment of limited quantities of parts numbers 84819605 and 84819606 supporting upcoming Customer Satisfaction Bulletin N192265660 (14-19MY K2 Silverado/Sierra with Power Sliding Rear Window – RPO A48) was shipped to Dealerships located in Alaska, Idaho, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and Vermont. Pre-shipment is based on a fair share allocation reflecting the number of involved VINs assigned to a Dealership. All Dealership orders for these parts placed prior to and during the pre-ship phase were be cancelled. " It's insanity how GM is handling this.
  10. GT, GM should 100% cover this repair. What Year and Model is your truck? My advise: - Don't give up. - Insist GM continue to escalate your case. Ask them to audit the List of VIN's covered by the Bulletin. - Put a claim in with NHTSA and let GM know you are doing so. - If you haven't done so already send your pictures to GM.   12. Good News. I just got a call from the dealership. Apparently there was a revision to bulletin N192265660 released today and now my VIN is included. (Maybe GM was listening after all, but I doubt I had anything to do with it) Here was my message to GM earlier this week: Good Morning GM Customer Care, As advised I just spoke with (Dealer info omitted). He is now up to speed on my repair request/status. He is aware the vehicle has been diagnosed and parts have been ordered. All that needs to be determined now is, who is going to cover the cost, as I believe the customer should not be stuck with the $1,400 bill. As I stated before this is clearly an issue that should be covered 100% by GM under Notice N192265660. I understand my VIN is not listed, but it absolutely should be, based on the written recall symptoms, diagnosis, and photos. Please elevate my concern as needed to gain additional over site and/or audit of the recall database. Also, as I’ve mentioned before, I’ve owned 7 GM/Chevy trucks over the past 20 years (3 of which were purchased from (Dealer info omitted), and never once have I put in a claim like this. To that end, this situation has certainly caused me to rethink my loyalty. This is a blatant safety issue that could result in glass shattering on my child or even fire. I believe GM needs to step up and cover these repairs 100%, period! Please review and advice how I should proceed. Bottom line, keep hounding GM and your Dealership.

  15. I am still doing research. I had my rear defrost short out on my 2018 GMC Sierra HD last week. Luckily it did not shatter the window. Dealership is telling me I'm not covered under the recall and they want $1400 out of pocket to replaced the rear window assembly. Even my Ally Major Guard extended warranty denied the repair. Crazy. Looking into other options. 44k on the truck. I've reached out to GMC customer service. Waiting to hear back. Also, does anyone know the fuse/relay location for the rear defrost.   24. 2018 Denali with magneride. Readylift Tubular upper control arm swap and 2.25 strut spacer Leveling. Stock rear and stock 22 wheels. Love the new stance. I still have a slight rake which is perfect for the occasional tow or heavy load. The tubular upper control arms have a thicker profile than the stock stamped UCAs. As a result I did not need relocation brackets for the magnaride sensors. The stiffness and ride are unchanged. Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  25. Readylift 2.25" strut spacers and tubular upper control arms swap. Stock rear with stock 285-45/R22 Bridgestones (for now). Love the new stance and the ride is great. I had intended to use another company's relocation brackets for the magneride (Readylift doesn't make one) however after installation, the thicker tubular UCA but the sensors right back in the stock position.
