In have had one on my truck for over 50k miles, I love it, turned off DFM, turned off Auto start/ stop adjusted throttle sensitivity and it can do much more if I change tire sizes or want to adjust speed limiter etc.... Mostly wanted it to Kill DFM when truck was new and I have had no lifter issues etc....so was cheap insurance for me.

Doing a Texas Speed dod delete kit and custom cam designed for use with the supercharger, and putting on Long tube headers and a heavy duty driveshaft as per LMR in Texas. I am hoping to end up with 650Hp at the crank with all this and dyno tune with TCU tune as well. Did you get any dyno numbers on yours? Funny thing is wifeys Escalade V smokes everything I have came across yet, this fueled my upgrade plans to the tilt...lol Unless I REPO the V from her that is BTW, just coming off warranty in 1500 Miles thus I am free to mod to the max now.

The AWE is as you stated startup, cold idle and when driving aggressively. I went through.... delete, corsa sport and borla touring (way too quiet for me)before ending up with AWE. Next will be headers and a true dual with AFM delete kit from Texas Speed along with camshaft and tuned by wifi, then adding the whipple and heavy duty drive shaft and dyno tuned by LMR. Then I will call it DONE with this truck and onto Wifeys Escalade V which is LOUDER stock than the Silverado when the valves are open AND has more HP....

AWE is louder than F*CK but sounds great, ZERO drone. Corsa Sport sounds GREAT and is only loud on a cold start for a few moments. Borla S type and corsa sound close to one another both excellent quality with no drone. Cheapy systems will add drone and not last as long. I learned a long time ago, buy once cry once ...lol the muffer delete gives too much drone if you do much freeway or distance driving.

Texas Speed delete kit and camshaft, remote tune with ECM from HP Tuners OR try the pulsar etc and shut the crap off and use 5-30 oil and hope for the best. GM is screwing the owners of these vehicles as we all know they have failure and consumption issues.

Dealer usually charges around $400 for this and YES the exhaust needs dropped and you should get new donut gaskets just in case. It is a ****** plus you do need to get it up to operating temp for the fill level to be proper, power brake procedure, wait again and again and again..lol Put some Amsoil in it if you want to improve over the factory stuff, don't worry about the warrant being voided as GM will not honor jack sheet anyway no matter what. obviously you should not need to unless you saw a leak on a newer vehicle like this. I expect some smart comment but this is not 1978 and this truck should not be using this much oil, THAT is why NHTSB is investigating GM. HOWEVER I will say that once you realize GM makes crappy A**ed engines that use oil like a 1947 Packard then you should start checking it..lol Mine WAS drinking oil like crazy until I did a flush and switched my grade to 10-30 as opposed to 0-20w and use only HIGHER quality oil than the idiots at the dealer put in. Buying another brand next time unless we get the Escalade V with the handbuilt ZR-1 engine. Cheers

Grow the balls to put the 2019 ZR-1 engine in a pickup, like they did with the Escalade V those engines kick ass and last. Who really gives a damn about economy when buying a truck, if you are broke then buy a brokey car.....LOL Seriously though of you get 12-19 mpg is it much different than getting 19-23 in the real world? I am saying city/hwy for each etc... people are sqaucking about fuel economy in a world with $4 eggs and houses that start at $400k where are you "saving" money?

Yeah, they are PHUCKED I took mine in for an oil consumption test, they change it and you come in every 1000 miles for a check up, well mine was down to the add mark and tbey said well that is 1 quart low, I said bullshit it takes 2 quarts to fill it from there and then the argument got heated so they said we will pull it over into the shop and add a quart and check it. So they did and said ohhh yeah it only took one quart. So I said bulshit we all know it takes 2 to fill it from there. Blah blah I could see the scam unfolding, why not fill it right there in front of me? Going to take oit to a local Buick dealer an try again before it is off warranty. Will never buy another GM pickup with THIS engine, we had a ZR-1 that never used any oil andI ran that baby, so I may get the Escalade V with the handbuilt ZR=1 engine. but will wait a few months to see what the maket does with real leadership in charge.

Shop around the wrecking yards for a crashed truck might be your best option. Sue em and get your $$$ back I just got a letter from a co filing on them.

This adds a nice console with cupholders and a storage bin to your factory bench seat. In original box in excellent condition used for about 6 months before we traded the truck in. This was in a 2020 Silverado WT and had been in storage for a few years now. What I read was that the recall is ONLY a software upgrade that tells you there will be an issue. I will look for that info as usual GM is a POS and not backing up there 70-100K $$ trucks.
