Leveling Kit ?

Recommended Posts

Just got a 09 Silverado crew cab. I don't want to put a suspension lift on and kill the new ride. If I go with a leveling kit, do I get a 2"? How big of tires can I run? What is the best brand to go with for a level kit?

New to the forum and would love some advice. Read a lot but cant seem to find the answer.

um, search through the forums wouldn't hurt as this topic has been addressed many many times. there are many leveling kits out there. i think the popular one here is the rough country, but there is also skyjacker, topgunz, ccm, readylift. trust me, do the search and hopefully you'll avoid the bark of the big dogs :)

i'm running the readylift with 33's and 20's, slight rub. cheers.

Here is a link to one of the Rough Country discussions...I have pictures on the 3rd page with my kit installed, raptor oval steps, and the stock rims/tires. I will probably put 30's on there when I get new tires, but I'm fine with the stock set for now. From what I understand, there are no rub issues with that set up.

I didn't even know about leveling kits until I read about it on this forum. After reading all the threads I could find I went with the Rough Country. The owner of the shop I went to said his installer said the RC kit was loads better than the one they were using, he also said it was less expensive than the other. I know I sure like the looks after there leveled.
