6.ol Blackbear Tune Options

Hey folks,

I've decided to get a BlackBear tune

for my '01 2500HD 4x4 auto 6.0L; 285s; 4:10 LSD,

I've just added K&N FIPK, and Magnaflow cat-back

How much torque management should I have removed? 80? 90? 100?

WOT shift points?

What's working for you?

What's not?

Do you tow with it? Your 2001 does not have near the nannies that the GMT900 series have.

I personally tow with my Vmax quite a bit. So I had him leave all of the TM in T/H mode, but I had him remove all of mine while not in T/H.

My best advice for you. Just listen to Justin. He has done this a million times (that may not be much of an exaggeration) He will ask you a series of questions about how you drive your truck and recommend shift points and TM removal. He will make it extremely easy for you and you will be very happy.

If you like to hammer your truck a lot with bigger tires, I would leave some TM. Your tranny will thank you later, but again Justin will tell you what he recommends.
