Faint Rattling Noise Driver Side Driving Me Crazy

I was going to just add this to the previous post I made but I couldn't find the topic. Anyways, for awhile now I have been getting this faint high pitch rattling noise that sounds like a washer rattling on a screw. I get it almost every time I get to 40-55 mph and almost always on long turns. The noise isn't a bad sounding noise like a heavy clunk, but it's bad enough to drive me crazy when I hear it. I took it into the shop to get my leveling kit looked at to make sure that wasn't it and everything was tight and looking good. The guy even got in the truck with me but he couldn't hear it because he's an older man who said he couldn't hear certain pitches and frequencies. Here is an attached clip of a recording of it. Yes it is hard to hear and very faint due to it being recorded with an iphone, but I wanted to get an opinion from you guys on what you think it could be. Throughout the clip it will be going on and off but it really starts at 5 seconds until the end of the clip. I would reccomend turning your speakers up a little bit, there is a lot of tire noise to listen through.

Oh sorry about that. I have a 2008 Silverado Crew Cab 5.3l. After scanning the forums I'm pretty set on that the noise is coming from within the door, but I don't know for sure what it is. That's what I need to know

I'm hearing some rattling near the driver side door or support column when I ride over a bump on the road. I'll have them check it out when they program my remote start. It does bug me, too. I can't pinpoint the exact location yet but it's definitely on the driver side.

i can barely hear it on the recording, but i might know what it is...

check to make sure that all the bolts are there in the door panel, and if they are, that the little metal retainers are lined up.

i had a rattle like that on my passenger side, and it turns out that when it was at the dealership, the wonderful customer service that the qualified technician gave me was to completely leave out a bolt for my door panel, leaving the retainer loose, which was what was rattling.

might be the same in your case.

was driving me NUTS. and it was like a 10 minute fix. lazy technicians.

The noises I had in my drivers door were due to loose bolts holding the window mechanism. Bolt head was sticking out about 1/4 inch.

I love the easy fixes

I couldn't hear it in the clip, and the oil dipstick "vibration TSB" may not be the culprit, but just in case... you may want to read this thread: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=99440

The fact that that it is known to happen at 40-50 mph and it's a metallic sound definitely made it a possibility, but I just remembered the dipstick is on the opposite side I'm hearing it so that cancels it out. It's getting taken to the dealership tomorrow so hopefully it'll be a quick fix. Haven't dealt with service at a dealership so I'm just hoping they actually fix it and don't pull the "hey it's fixed, voila" and the noise comes back in 2 days.

Just noting to everyone, that it ended up being my brush guard on my truck had 3 screws loose that was causing the metal bars to rattle on it. Always a simple fix haha.

Glad Im not the only one to hear a noise like this. I have a rattling almost like a flapping sound coming from my right A-pillar area only at high speeds. Ive checked the area for anything flapping loose, but I cannot get where this is coming from! Drives me nuts.

Just an update, it isn't the brushguard at all. The noise is back and even worse. My friend who knows a lot about these types of issues thinks its a warped brake rotor scratching. Does that sound about right or not at all? I'm really struggling to get this fixed before I head back to college.
