Chevy Trailer Brake Problem

I was having problems with my trailer brakes hooked to my 2004 chevy silverado 2500 hd. I read that other people were having the same problems with there chevys. One answer to the problem was to replace the turn signal/hazard module. I did and it solved the problem. Mine was located behind the fuse panel located on the left side of the dash. One reader, maybe more, was unsure how to get the panel out to get to the module/flasher. After looking at it, all's I did was to take the lower panel(beneath steering column) off. And there it was. Pulled it out and put a new one in. Thanks for information i got from this sight. Saved about $200.00 that the dealer was going to charge me. Mark

What problem were you having? Glad you got it fixed. Sounds like the part is right next to the BCM.
