Looking for low milage OEM muffler(catback) for 2006 2500hd w/ 6.0. I had a friend put on a stock replacement but the droan is loud, and I also think it is restrictive.

Thanks

I have a oem muffler from a 2007, 6.0, v max NBS. Muffler only with only 3000 miles. Does that help?

If compatable, it sure does. Not sure if the NBS makes a difference. I will check into it.

Thanks

I believe the NBS has a SI/SO muffler and the old body has the DI/DO.....I have the OBS classic 2007 and it had the NBS exhaust setup....had to re-order the magnaflow muffler because the shop assumed the older DI/DO setup....

Quiet does not equal restrictive. Urban legend. I agree on the drone, I hate it and want to go back to stock or at least quiet.

I've measured many-a-factory exhaust back pressure and they are far from as restrictive as the AM exhaust companies would have you believe.

Reason I feel it might be restrictive is that I am having a bad cat code. May have been there before as the truck is new to me. But the new muffler has a reducer on the two 3.5 inch inlets and only one maybe 3 inch exit pipe.

I have a complete 6.0 cat back exhaust in my loft. It's off of my 2003 2500HD and is in very good condition. It's the stock stainless steal oem muffler. I had the cut made about 12" on both pipes past the inlet, so I would assume a coupler welded in between your cut off point and the inlets on my system would work. Friggin thing is long and heavy! It's been sitting up in my loft for the last two years. Oh and I have about 35,000 miles on this muffler. This is exhaust will last forever being it's stainless steal. No dents, scratches, just little faded, but not much.

I would be interested in it. Do you think shipping would be a problem? I have had good luck with things wrapped well and shipped by Greyhound.

Thanks

I think shipping would be expensive!!! This thing must weight 100lbs. What state are you in?

I'll go out to my other building and taked some pics of it for you, so you can see what it looks like and the condition it is in. I'll post them in about 10 minutes from now or so.

Thanks for taking the photos. The last pic looks like the seam on the side is opening up, or maybe it is just how it looks in the photo. Or it may be an extra welded heat sheild. Hard to tell by the pic. I am sure it is fine, just checking.

I am in Louisiana.

Thanks

Thats the heat sheild on top of it. It's dirty, has dried up salt on it, but would clean up nice. I used to polish the end pipe every week, well clean it real good. It doesn't have T-304 SS. I think I over estimated the weight, I'd say 60-75lbs. What about your local muffler shops? Do they have or can they get you that stock muffler? If so what did they want?
