Hardwire Nuvi Gps?

Anyone have any suggestions of how to hardwire the power for an external GPS? Pics would be awesome too!

I have an 06 Sierra Denali if it matters.

I've found some adapters.... where would they plug into though? Referring to the red/black cables.
